High Stakes Poker season 6

After watching the first episode, (helmuth goes broke and Ivey wins every hand)  I'm starting to think this is all just a play being acted out for the camera's and they're not betting real money and just chopping up the advertising dollars. Fix!

it is on Sunday, I believe 5 pm, 8 pm, and 11 pm pacific, and there are other re-runs on all sunday  night along w/ a WPT show mixed in...

DWANS bluff on the last hand against Ivey was insaneee...400k on the river with 9 high ...hes awesome..ive been watching durr play for 3 years now..he plays on fulltilt poker....he has the biggest balls in poker..hes not afraid of anything....

it looked like Ivey was  going to call too, it  was obvious that Dwan was very nervous but that could  be a reverse  tell too, but almost every time I have seen Dwan make a bet over $100k he  is bluffing  w/ nothing and he tends to value bet  big hands...

 

i really thought ivey was gunna call too!!...he was so close..he knows dwan welll..they play each other heads up a lot on fulltilt..they have been for years...haha dwan claimed he had that nervous look becuase of "the lighting on his cards...." i never see dwan nervous either..he may have been acting nervous purposly..im not sure...

that hand was awesome.....If ivey called I would've bowed down to him

it's bullshiit fella's, these shows are designed to get you to put money into the rigged online poker sites! ,,, dont be fools!

I think Dwan is eventually going to have a bad run like any gambler does, but he is fun to watch and has a lot of guts.  When he makes a big bet, Ivey and Negreanu looked like scared amateurs.  Why they play loose against a loose player like Dwan baffles me, and Hellmuth's admittedly tight style is a much better approach to use under these conditions.

dwan did have a bad run

he lost ~$7 million to a guy by the name of Isildur1 online

every gambler goes on lucky runs, i wouldnt call him a lucky prick...we might as well call all of those guys lucky pricks

Well he does catch alot of cards meant to say.

I would not place Tom in the same class as Hellmuth-Ivey.

Hellmuth is a horrible in cash games, high stakes players lick their chops when he sits down.  Tourney is a different story.

there are players playing $1/$2 no limit on pokerstars who are better at no limit cash games than him

He has won alot of WSOP bracelets we will see if Tom is around in 5 years.

the best players can be found in the big 4000/8000 cash games in Vegas, a game that Hellmuth has never, and will never play in his life

not arguing with you that hes one of the best NL tourney players of all time

congruency....  i have seen some VERY skilled/intelligent $1/2 cash players that could play on the 500/1000 level against the pros...but they cant because they dont have the bankroll.

though I do agree with you, cash game players are more skilled as they deal with consistent strategy rather than rushed tournament strategy... what i mean is, in a tourny you would push all in with A high when chips are low but you would not in a cash game

Negreanu cant fuckn win on that show

And Daniel constantly belittles Matusow for being a bad player, yet he loses two big pots to him?  I would say that makes Negreanu just as bad.
