I'm telling you all this is going to end in charges of some sort.

Clearly this was fraud in at least one way shape or form.

If ESPN hadn't been involved it might be a different story but they are too big a name for this all to be swept under the rug. Usually I subscribe to the "any publicity is good publicity" rule too, but not in this case

Not to mention people now know where "she" lives, these 2 are terrified right now. To quote Turkish: "Tommy...the tit is praying, and if he isn't....he fucking should be."

No way that "Sarah" and "Prasad" are enjoying this. Scam artists want to operate in the dark, and there is too much personal information about these two out there now -- photos, names, etc.. This is bad news for them for sure. I wouldn't be surprised if they skipped town to be honest.

It's not quite "public domain" but, at the same time, it is illegal to use someone's "likeness" without their permission, especially with regards to advertising.

From a technical perspective, one could interpret this to mean that

it is fine to discuss the matter only in the WP section, but one could also interpret this to mean that when the basis for promotion (such as suggesting that the host of the website has access to sharps and bookmakers) generates hits, the actual ACT of posting anywhere but the WP section is violating the manifesto.

Last I knew, the manifesto applied to all posters and it is pretty strictly enforced in the area of website promotion.

Any other poster promoting a website would recieve the same warning in the same way. Some might have actually gotten boxed or even banned based on the grey area. I'm really not the boxing or banning type, so I don't consider it an issue really, unless it was being done in a clearly problematic way (such as promoting in the mains).

I was being sincere with my request for you to PM me if you had a suggestion for me.

You've already told me I'm essentially not a "normal" member of Covers since I'm a writer for SDI when it pertained to boxing D-Bags in my threads in the help section. So you can't really go back and forth with one day I'm a "normal" member, and the next day I'm a writer for SDI. In one instance, the manifesto matters, and in another instance, it does not.

I have an associate that writes a little section in a school zine. He contacted the Corvallis PD for a comment on the situation and they said "we are aware of the situation and looking into it further"

Not much but at least they are aware of it and going after it in SOME form. I'll have to bookmark the local PD website and check for arrests every now and then.
