As a few people have pointed out, this story proves what most people already know; ESPN is a fuckin' joke. How do you hire someone to write content for your site without ever meeting them in person?

I'm just imagining the "phone interview" ESPN had with her before she got hired.

ESPN - Is your name Sarah Phillips?

Sarah - Yes, it is.

ESPN - You're hired.

Was told same by mod after I taunted her night sh threatened to sue people for defamation.

Mod told me in PM as much as he disliked her act I'd be banned if I attacked her

Many people calling her out as fake right away and Covers being bamboozled(????) for months = jealousy

What makes Covers look even worse is how HARDCORE they were backing her up.  They literally shit on posters that have been here since the beginning just to take "her" side.  Crazy shit

I'm thinking the same thing.  I didn't even hear about this last year on here although I wasn't in the forums very much.  But why is this such a big story?  Like there aren't a ton of scammers online daily or even in business for much more money involved (Madoff etc.).

I mean this is just incredible, how far down does this rabbit hole go??? You know there were others like "Matt" poor S.O.B. that got lured into this bait and switch too...

The deadspin article is a must read, and I've been more enthralled in this fiasco than anything I've watched on TV in a looooooong time. This is fucking nuts guys, nucking futz! Something tells me Covers is going to get A LOT more popular in the coming weeks as well...

#1 question I have...HOW/WHY THE FUCK DID ESPN HIRE "HER"?!?!? Makes my head hurt. Hell I didn't even know "she" worked for ESPN until the deadspin article. This is insane.
