In fairness to Bryant, he just isn't good enough to win a title as the primary focus of an offense nor is he smart enough.
The fakers have a serviceable big man in Pau Gasol but he is underutilized because of the fakers poor perimeter play.

Agree! Like I said earlier, the Lakers are MUCH better right now when Odom and Brown are on the floor...this has been the case for at least the last 3-4 weeks.

L8kers or troops-- wanted to ask a lakers fan there perspective of the game Monday and today but didn't want to get bashed or cause issues in your thread -- me being from h-town... I'm not hear to stick out my chest -- cause any issues like some of the Rocket posters. Just like to hear lakers view.
I just want to hear a Lakers fans view of what happen Monday and what the thoughts are about tonight (what lakers need to do)... You talk to people in h-town or rockets fan now its kill this and kill that -- you can't get a clear view about the game from a rockets fan.
Was it that the lakers def was not as the norm, did they look slow from the layoff Monday?
You think the lakers will try fronting Yao like Portland did? You guys worried the def the Rockets played is enough to make this a 7 game series or keep the scoring close?
I did not see the Rockets scoring enough points in this Series with the lakers 1st in scoring during playoffs and 4th in the reg. season -- just don't see the rockets scoring enough points to keep up if Yao is eliminated like Portland did.

On Monday's game: clearly flat, out of sync, and just played terribly...like you said, they were slow...slow on the glass, slow to loose balls, slow in transition defense. I can guarantee this WILL NOT happen again...I don't wanna jinx anything, but, I would be EXTREMELY surprised if the Lakers did not win tonight. Would I lay 10 pts? Wow, that is tough...I probably wouldn't lay 10 simply because I don't like laying that many pts, but they very likely could cover that. My play is on the OVER tonight...as bad as the Lakers shot on Monday the game was one clear path layup away from going OVER that the Rockets decided to simply dribble out. I think the Lakers shoot much better and in turn we see a lot more points tonight.

They say double digits in NBA is like 2 TD in NFL... but I think you are right -- have a feeling Kobe is going to get started a little early tonight.
I think if the Ref. call a closer game in the paint -- don't let the rocks bang around in there -- it will be a big advantage for the Lakers. I see the rockets def play a big part in the game when they are allowed to play in the paint. Crawford there tonight -- lot of rockets fans crying here in h-town... crawford doesn't seem to like the rocks or yao to much hence the crying.
I'm on the lakers team over 101 -- read somewhere here that lakers never been held under 100 back to back? looked good since I believe kobe firing on all cylinders tonight.

I see Assassin #24 gettin it in early! As if Lebron's performance last night and MVP wasnt enough. Yall know Kobe still wanna show the world who is the man for the time being. I see the true answer playing out in the Finals. The Lakers need to step up because Cleveland is for real and that laid back attitude wont cut it here. They will wake up tonight with a vengance!
