Alright Lakers fans! We had a real nice group going last year vs. the Celtics fans...not looking like we'll get our opportunity at revenge on those suckas, but, we will take the title vs. anybody that stands in our way! 
 
It is time to gather and show some love for our boys......and ride this thread all the way to the Championship baby!!!!!!!

I am with ya man. Been a Laker fan since 1983, and looking forward to watching this team bring the title back to LA

Hell yeah! I've been a fan since that 83-84 season as well......when I started playing basketball competitively for the first time, in the 5th grade! Oh yeah, that was so long ago.......my favorite player initially (because he played college ball at the Univ. of New Mexico) was Michael Cooper. I remember how much of a kick I got out of yelling COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPERRRRRRRRR after he'd hit one his famous 3-balls! Awww yes, the memories!

So is anybody else hoping that somehow the Celtics can miraculously win the East? I am saying my prayers hoping they win it just so we get an opportunity to WHOOP THAT ASS and get our revenge (not to mention shut all those mutha-fuckin C's fans mouths!)...REVENGE BABY!

How do you guys think the houston series will go?

We were 4-0 vs them-- I dont think they acn score enough vs us-

Mutumbo out is big, we should be able to dominate them down low and get YAO in foul trouble--

My only concern is Battier and Artest they are good defenders--

however Houston cant score enough to beat us and we were 4-0 vs them?

Denver is playing good but JR smith launching 30 foot 3's will not beat us--

We need BYNUM to start playing well and tehn we are too big inside for any team except for maybe Boston, but with no garnett and POWE we can crush them also.

i dont worry about CAVS--

we are too big inside for Cavs- Pau and Odom and Bynum will crush the slow IGGY and the smallish Vereajhoa--

We can beat them inside and beat the Cavs--

The west cannot stop us, Houston is still struggling with portland who is young , if they cant put portland away they cant touch us

The Rockets don't match up with the Lake Show at all...especially with Bynum back! They are over-matched inside with Gasol-Bynum-Odom...and like you mention Sammy, they can't keep up with us offensively. And yes, Bynum does need to step it up...I think we should be fine through the West, but, we need him to gradually pick up his game and be ready for the Finals.
 
You sound like one of my buddies...he's constantly talking shit about JR Smith and his 30-footers! LOL! You're right, that WON'T beat us...and we know the Nuggets don't even play near enough DEFENSE to beat us. I can't believe I just used "Nuggets" and "defense" in the same sentence.

I need Lakers to win next 2 series and then will take them in finals vs CAVS it looks like it will be---

Yeah Nugs are same old NUGS, they wont win on the road and not in our Barn---

I honestly feel that THIS IS TRUE--

If Lakers played all 7 games on the road in Utah, and in Houston and In Denver, that they could win all 3 series, I honestly feel they CAN-
So HOME games IMO are a bonus then--

I could see some series going 6 or 7 games, but I could see us beating any west teams if all games were on teh road.

Houston will go through scoreless droughts enough for us TO WIN games vs them--

Plus YAO can be a non factor if you DENY him the BALL-

Plus I dont see him staying in games as we willl foul his ass out-

Houston takes a lot of long jumpers and really wouldnt match up with us- I feel good about that--

I think UTAH might be the toughest team for us to match up with in the WEST- and we are giong to beat them.

Remember Game 6 last year? 131-92 Boston 

Unfortunately for the Lakers, the injury to Garnett will allow Cleveland to stroll into the finals just as they will.

So it should be two fresh teams in the finals.

Kobe is not the MVP this year... anyone who thinks so is a moron. Only chance Lakers have to win the championship is if Boston makes it to the finals because the cavs will whoops their ass just like boston did last year when they make it to the finals.

Lakers fans were not allowed to use any excuses with Bynum out last year...which would have changed things dramatically. So, no excuses Celtics. Your excuses are your own.

That being said, I still hope you can somehow get throught the East and upset the Cavs so we can POUND THE SHIT OUT OF YOU!
