WRONG! Numerous posters in this thread have stated something to the effect of "The guy didn't do anything wrong" or "He was just staring". To me that is an endorsement of his rude actions.

Again,there were two factors that caused this unfortunate event,rage's TS and the guy in line's insistance on staring at rage.One of these things could have been avoided and one of them could not.

Although I don't approve of physical confrontations in most cases,as far as the mustachioed creep in Target,I say fuck 'em he got what he deserved!

How am I being unfair?
I realize having tourrettes is tough (i would submit that 5 heart surgeries and watching everyone of your friends playing outside while you had to sit inside as a kid growing up is tougher but different people have different things to deal with and they all suck)

I just think that the guy at Target was looking at you, and according to YOUR ACCOUNT of the situation. you went up to him and started the altercation by cursing at him and getting in his face.

I do not concern myself with what other people think of me because it does not matter. If i had your situation it may be tougher but why do you let what people, that you will never see again, think of you bother you? fuck em. who cares?

A couple of things; 1) If you hate people staring at you , you WILL NOT make it long in the joint. 2) I got out 6 months ago and in the joint saw alot worse for alot less. 3) You need to grow up a little bro. The guy was looking at you?? WTF?? 4) Do what I did and enlist in the Marine Corps and go overseas and get paid for annihilating people. 4) I can see major problems for you in jail, if you can't handle something like this on the outside. 5) Make sure your wife gets you a soap on a rope, but seriously when you get there,dta.(Don't trust anyone)

I've been off the boards for a few days and this is the first time i'm seeing this. Like everyone else here, I am sorry that you have this terrible condition. I have a niece that is mostly deaf and uses a hearing aid and have heard the stories of how cruel people can be towards her. I've many times caught her crying because kids were making fun of her. She also asked as to why she was not able to hear and normal like other kids. It kills me that she goes thru this and that there is nothing I or anyone can do to help her. Although i've wanted to destroy anyone who has hurt her feeling, I know that it wouldnt solve anything. In addition, we always tell her to take the high road. She shouldnt let anyone dictate what she will do. I say the same thing to you. You're a married man. You're old enuff to know what is right from wrong. This guy was clearly an asshole and has issues of his own. Why are you going to bring yourself down to his level. Also, your wife was with you. Why make her see that side of you, especially after she asked you to walk away. I'm not sure as to why you decided to post this. What you did does not make you look cool or prove that you're a tough guy. I hope that if you have kids, you would never tell them to do what you did. I wish you all the best and hope that one day they will have something to help you control the terrible condition you have been afflicted with.

i feel for you ragin' . you have this condition and people stare at you all day long. it is very frustrating. you must become unfazed by it . these are strangers and it does not matter what they think or say about you. it is your wife and family mbers opinion that matters. people will stare when they see anything other than what they define as normal. it is human nature.

you made it clear you have a condition and this guy still acted like a prick. but hitting him was not the right thing to do. you must walk away from this stuff. if nothing happens great, you dodged a bullet. unless it is self defense you should not lay your hands on anyone.

you are working and you have a family you take care of. you did it all with Tourettes and you should be proud of yourself for that. you are not living in isolation and hiding. you are out there and living your life despite of what you have. dont let fools like this mess up your life.

i hate when people stare at me too. it is damn irritating but its a free country so they can do what they want.
