Doesnt matter the situation you cannot condone violence.  Especially if your an adult. Physical harm against someone is wrong unless your in danger yourself or the threat of being endanger.

Did he deserve an asswhopping.  I believe he did.  But will you be liable for it.  Yes you will.  Good thing is small claims court he can only sue up to 5000 max.  Obviousily you will have to pay the hospital bills if he has any and the rest he has to prove to the judge.  Emotional distress, loss wages at work, etc.

 

Not much sympathy can be expected on this forum as most people condemn violence.   Ragingstorm admits starting the verbal abuse and physical assault.   But the injured victim is unfairly blamed for  staring harmlessly and defending himself?   In my opinion, there are 2 key issues.  Excess or unnecessary force and damages by Ragingstorm.   In this case, facts favor the plaintiff,

Sorry,  I think you are in the wrong here.  It's fairly obvious you need some meds either for Tourette's or your temper.  I'm actually surprised you weren't arrested. 

I don't know tell me in a year or so if this was worth it.  Hopefully things will work out for the best. 

I disagree.  It's Raging's responsiblity to take his meds for whatever his issues are.  But this is a moot point since this thread was started 20 somethings months ago.

Fucking refreshing to see someone stand up for themselves. I'm as liberal as it gets and am all for talking it out but if thats not an option, one has got to demand satisfaction. Remember, the box is the man acting like a bitch.

Raging I read your entire original post to 2 grown professional women and they were both happy you gave the man what he had coming. They felt once you explained your condition that he should have handled it differently.

Look I never heard from the guy. The cop who I saw like a month later told me that he talked to the guy and told him he was being an immature ass for staring at me and calling me a retard and shit etc.

As for violence well that was the first time I laid a finger on somebody. He caught me on a bad day. I take meds for my condition however it doesnt eliminate Tourettes just helps them. Im glad I stood up for myself.

today some guy stared at me so bad I reacted again. I looked at him right to his face. About a foot away. He couldnt look back at me. I caught him staring and even after I told him I had tourettes he kept staring. So instead of clocking him I stared back at him. Surely enough he was embarrassed. Good enough for me. You people may have done the same exact thing.

Try walking around 24/7yelling and screaming sometimes without stopping. Try it. I betcha enough people staring would make you quite upset also.
