Thanks for the kind thoughts from everyone. Glad I could share some insight I have gathered over the years.
To answer a few questions:
1. I do regularly post here although this season I will probably spend less time with writeups and answering every question. I burned out last season after the All-Star break and began getting lazy and cutting corners and I want to try and pace myself this season.
2. I look at season long over/unders later in March although I don't bet too many. I do like the M's over for the season which I wrote a thesis about in another thread here on Covers.
3. Last season I was up over 80+ units by the all-star break averaging 1.5 units per game but fell apart late and gave almost 3/4's of it back. The past 3 seasons at Covers, I have won approximately 234 units in the regular season.
4. Piljoo - great questions as to there being a point in the season where you walk away...I haven't quite figured that out yet and wish I had last season. I will re-think your question but I don't have an answer yet.

I have followed you for the past 2 years,and you are definately the best capper in baseball(i think you lay off in sept because of all the minor league callups),but i have to wonder where you got your info for pitchers in the A class.You have lincecum going 19-13, but he was 15-7.You also have kershaw listed at 14-16,but he was 8-8 etc.I'm not sure about your stats,but your record and unit total cannot be questioned.

The records I posted are the teams records in games those pitchers started. The Giants were 19-13 when Lincecum started regardless of whether or not he got a win or loss and the Dodgers were 14-16 in Kershaw's 30 starts regardless of his won-loss record. When it comes to betting, we are only concerned with which team wins and which team loses and not which pitcher is credited with the win or loss.

A number of hockey cappers have asked me to explain what I mean by "not trying to pick the team I think will win (necessarily)" - as you state, many new cappers cannot even conceive of this - it literally "does not compute" lol... I think you got friend requests from at least one or two of them (since I referred them to this essay). I will now be happy to re-post a link to this thread in the hockey forum too as it applies fairly well in NHL betting as well.
