The biggest highlight however is at WF as Mia Fla takes their number 5 Nationally Ranked Hurricanes to Wake Forest to continue their quest toward the completion of their comeback to prominence and another National Championship. Mia Fl only had 2 running backs to surpass 100 yds offensively in their huge victory vs FAMU. The team leader that day ran for a mere 142 yds that game BUT did so with only 10 attempts. Both teams are 2-0 this season and the Hurricanes last loss came to none other than the Nation Champeens Indiana. MIA has been extremely impressive offensively with Menssah calling the shots behind Center. Wake enters tonight’s matchup undefeated as well with their last win coming against Purdue 38-36.
Gm 2 takes us to Lubbock Tx to see #22 Houston vs #13 Texas Tech. The long and short of this game comes down a couple of simple facts. These two teams have met 8 times prior. TT has a 7-1 SU record vs Hou outscoring Cougars 38.5 to 26.5 on average. TT hasn’t lost at home to Hou the last 4 at home while extending their SU win streak to 7.
Finally, we cannot close this out with mentioning the #21 Ducks Oregon. Following their upset loss last week, expect Ore to open a can at -57.5 with a buffer of merely 12 pts to complete the 2 Teamer at 68.5.
Now I read earlier in the week that Wake has a chance, slim as it may be to Upset MIA. Don’t look at me cuz that’s just crazy talk.
To believe that Oregon isn’t going to make amends by destroying their weekday opponent is just as ludicrous. With all of this excitement my play becomes a bit simpler. Call me crazy but my Chedda falls on TT -7.5.
