In order to be a playoff team you have to win more games this is tough I hope they make it or else they'll be like any other team that's missed more years of the post-season

It would be nice if Toronto got eric staal and then made the playoffs eh MLBguru that way when we played new jersy we could pull of an amazing upset!!

I think Leafs should win tonight, but once this team hits another low they will struggle.

the leafs went through a slump to start the year..they're a good team with half decent goaltending...if the monster plays how they think hes capable of then we'll be a legit contender and not finishing 8th and getting knocked out in the 1st round...the leafs are a playoff team...only 4 points out now

When people say only 4 points out, you do realize there are other teams besides the Leafs in a similar situation.

So not only do you have to catch the 8th place team, but you also have to fend off the 2-4 other teams in a similar situation.

The Monster is never going to amount to anything special.  Toskala is better than he is, and now with all his health issues he's a giant question mark at best.

This team still lacks talent....wait until the season is 2/3's done and see how much gas in the tank these guys have left.

Playoff team? NO.

Exciting team to watch? YES

Why? Because if you're a fan or someone betting on them to win, it's like masturbation without the payoff.

I don't hate them fellas like some do (Guru cough-cough Just fucking with you Guru) but I just can't see this happening at all. I've seen stranger things but look, the number 1 designated goalie has yet to record a road win this season. He's had 7 chances. Come on now.

To say the Kessel trade is justified is BS like MLBguru said let's wait and see what BOS gets. I don't know if a lot of people follow the OHL but Taylor Hall & Tyler Seguin have the POTENTIAL to be better players than Kessel IMO. Maybe this will work out for both teams but let me tell you this Taylor Hall kid is one talented player. Can't wait for the World JR'S.

I agree with Bobby.

The point is that they are exciting because they are playing probably harder than any team in the league right now with maybe 1 or 2 exceptions.

I can't see them playing this way through the whole season, it will catch up to them.

And nights where they don't bring intensity, they have a very small chance of winning.

What many people don't know about this trade was that Courtnall wanted out of Toronto. All the GMs knew it so the Leafs weren't gonna get anything for him. (Akin to...for those who follow the CFL...this past year when the Argos were looking to get rid of bigmouth Arland Bruce). Kordic had a solid WHL career and Toronto figured he was worth taking a shot on. Just didn't work out the way they had hoped.
