Why are so many people backing the Cards?

In about 6 hours we are going to see threads with "Why did I put my money on John Skelton" or better yet "The Cards are absolutely terrible"

SF is going to win by double digits easily

7 is a lot of points for a divisional game, on the road, with an inconsistent offense like the niners.  A lot of people thought Skelton was the better QB in preseason.  Hes finally getting his shot now.  The Cards D can create turnovers.  I for one, am not jumping to get in line to give 7 points.  Just some random thoughts. 

Stuck at home with a hurricane, and probably had too much to drink already.  Talk me off the Cards, LJ.

just like on paper how chicago should have creamed the panthers, and the packers should have demolished the jaguars, there are no guarantees and 7 points at home is a nice cushion, although i will not be playing a side

I cant really dispute anything you said regarding the Cards, which is what I was looking for.  Skelton did beat the Niners last year.  But, I dont think LSH was the starting RB either.  SF was supposed to dominate after the loss to the G-Men, but only slipped past Seattle.  Always appreciate your insight, buddy.  Good luck with your play.

I don't see the 49ers offense doing enough to make this a blowout. And I'm not a huge trends guy or anything, but this year, when a team plays before their Bye, and their opponent is NOT on a bye the next week, those teams are 1-14 ATS this year.

If this game is on Sunday, I would agree with you. I have not yet play any side but if I do, I would suck in with a home dog with a TD. My local may get pound by the 49ers, thus he may have Arz +7.5 for me...

I am starting to lean 49ers...they gotta live up to the Giants expectations. Plus...they are building a new stadium, they have a SB or bust mentality.

I think the 9ers have some extra time going into this game to fine tune that offense of theirs.

The Cardinals offensive line is a piece of shit.  I saw that game where the Rams took a dump on Kolb.  I think he was sacked like nine times.  Granted Skelton is playing tonight but I wouldn't called that much of an upgrade.  I would be very surprised if the Niners can't cover this spread but then again it is the NFL.
