Like i mentioned in my previous post, if you believe that Washington's defense is the same as last year, you will lose alot of money this year. Last year they were not healthy, neither was their offense forcing them to be on the field even more. The year before that, they were ranked #1 in the league in total defense. I dont think they will be #1 this year, but they will be a top 10 defense, and definetly better than Dallas.
You cant say Miami's O-Line is terrible, what are you basing this on.. As a unit they gave up 2 sacks in a game, they are unproven, untested, untied. You can use those kinds of words, you cant call them one of the worst in the NFL.
Like i said, i've never known Dallas to be a team that pressured the QB. Coulda fooled me with the 34 sacks they had last year ranked 20th in the league, basically 2 a game.
The NFL has proven that the coach that used to play with a coach angle doesnt matter. Look at Eric Mangini and Bell Belicheck, Eric's only beaten him once when he should have an inside track against them.
I think Miami getting shredded by Washington as you put it, was a result of conditioning and stamina. In the first half they held Washington to 40 yards and nothing over 5 yards, I think they just got tired in the second half where they gave up the bulk of the yardage.
Yeremiah Bell didnt go out on the last play of the game, he went out during the game, i didnt notice Campbell picking on his replacement. The Dallas secondary is much worse than Miami's and it will be interesting to see if Crayton and Hurd can hold onto balls as im assuming T.O. may draw some double teams.
Also this is an AFC Team vs. an NFC team. Miami went 3-1 vs. the NFC last year.
P.s. I dont think Newman makes that much of a difference and that stat is hard to prove that he has only given up 1 TD in 2 years
i respect your opinion but you are dead wrong on alot of things here.
Miami's offensive line is terrible and that is not even up for debate. the team knows it...the fans know it and anyone who knows football knows this as well. why can't i call them one of the worse in the NFL when the facts merit this. they can't run the ball (certainly not due to the RB position caus Ronnie Brown is a good RB) they can't protect the passer and no matter what you think about washington's defense, they set the record for least amount of sacks in NFL history and they did not add one pressure player or defensive lineman.
You are right that dallas is not known for pressuring the QB but as you said about washington that was last year and this is a new year. Ware is one of the best pass rushers in the NFL. The biggest reason why dallas WILL get pressure on the QB is the addition of Wade Phillips. His teams always are among the leaders in sacks (check it out if you don't believe me, i actually research football) because of his aggresive and inovative schemes.
Saying the dolphins have a bettter secondary then dallas shows how little you know about these teams. the dolphins secondary (especially without Bell) is o ne of the worse in football. do you have any idea who is even in their secondary? your comments are ridiculous and misleading and you should not comment on things you know nothing about because you are very respected on this site and you are misleading your readers. Dallas' secondary with Newman is 10 times better then Miami's and even without newman the cowboys secondary is better.
Saying Newman "will not make that much of a difference" shows you know nothing about Newman. He is a great cover corner (he was a top 10 pick) and is the most underrated player in the NFL IMO. Parcells has been quoted as saying Newman did not give up 1 TD in 2005 and last year he gave up 1 TD against Atlanta. i can prove this if you need proof but i swear on my un born children he has only given up one TD pass in the last 2 years. Saying he makes no difference is idiotic and ignorant on your part. Study the NFL before you throw out stupid statements from now on

Tennesse beat these Colts last year as 7.5 pt dogs and also had Manning an co on the ropes until a late 4th Q score by Reggie WAyne gave the Colts a 1 point win in their other meeting last year....the spread in that game --- 17 points.
Two pretty easy covers just last year by the Titans.
