And they keep JJ McCarthy and let Darnold walk. Darnold had a good season but in no way is he the future of this organization
This could be a blessing in disguise for the Vikings
And now they have a decision on their hands.... 2 weeks ago, Darnold's stock was at a mythical 80,... now it's at 20.
That's in a 2 week time span.
It's amazing what can happen in the NFL in such a limited time span.

Maybe he could have saved himself if he didn't play like complete dog sh.it his last 2 most important games of the season very reminiscent of his career. He def knows whats coming

I really hope not. The Vikes had a pretty solid team nobody saw coming on both sides of the ball. Had a solid offensive line that protected him for majority of the year bc him holding onto the ball too long tonight isn't anything new

I think it’s safe to say that had he just thrown the ball out of bounds instead of taking all the sacks these past two weeks, he could’ve made a case for a much better paycheck. When another team watches those plays, those are the ones that stick with them. Every qb fumbles and throws interceptions, but there are currently rookies in the league that know better than to hold the ball that long. Holding the ball is a qb disease, and usually a lifelong problem. You either get it or you don’t, and Sam just doesn’t get it.

Exactly, now they don't have to even bother thinking about keeping Darnold or if they do cause no one else wants to sign him, he can get that backup job!
