    Skins and texans for me.

I agree completely on this discrepancy in the Bears/ Redskins line, if it smells like fish........

If game is NOT close to point spread = probably not fixed, but might be.

Public hammers a team and they win/cover = NFL & Vegas threw the public a bone.

Public hammers a team and they lose cover in final minutes = 1000% guaranteed fixed, no doubt about it, NFL and Vegas are in cahoots and sitting around smoking cigars and drinking whiskey while they puppeteer the players and coaches to do what they want to make a few extra million.

Who exactly is doing this, and who is getting paid, are questions that NONE of these "fix" crybabies can answer.

People that cry fix are 99.99% of the time just butt-hurt gamblers that are too much in denial to admit that THEY MIGHT NOT KNOW $HIT ABOUT FOOTBALL, so they need an excuse.

But what about that BLAH BLAH BLAH game that you can't explain the finish too?? (cue up the Steelers-Chargers highlights)

Andrew Luck high fived a teamate after a 3 and out.  OH MY FOOOOOOOOOKING GOD...THE NFL IS FIXED AFTER ALL, HOW STUPID AND NAIVE WAS I ALL ALONG.........I CAN'T BELIEVE IT WAS LUCK THAT OUTED THIS GREAT AND SUPER-SECRET CONSPIRACY.  I wouldn't be surprised if Luck turned up dead soon, for opening cheering for his fix instead of his team.  Such compelling proof!!!!

in order to know what games are fixed, you'd have to know who was being blackmailed--which is how fixes are done

only the blackmailers and blackmailees know this--there are no need for 'conspiracies'

Um, yes Indianapolis looked terrible.  Folks here call that the LOOK AHEAD and a win at home against Denver would place them in a prime spot for the AFC playoffs.

in order to know what games are fixed, you'd have to know who was being blackmailed--which is how fixes are done

only the blackmailers and blackmailees know this--there are no need for 'conspiracies'

That is true but if we had that kind of information we would not be posting it on covers we'd be betting on those games.

I'm trying to be non biased and give both sides of the argument a fair chance with the information we have.   To do this I feel the best approach is to find games that would be somewhat meaningless to the teams season.

These all make sense, Pittsburgh is a division game but since they're 1-4 and a comeback into the season would make a great story we will include that game.

    final picks
    Houston +6
    Pittsburgh -2.5
    Washington pk

We can add the Jets +3.5 based on 80% of the action being on the Pats. But we have to be fair and give the Jets 3 to 6 points because that's where the line started.

If these plays go 4-0 that does not prove the games were fixed, we have to see evidence of one team tanking, shady penalty calls, etc.

So now we all have to watch these games and report any shady behavior, the best part of the investigation!

    Also to add....

the Indy/Denver game can be in the mix but I can't really tell what side there's a lot of press for both teams.

Fix is in on these games

Tennessee/San Fran - I believe Titans cover and might win outright

Pittsburgh/Baltimore - Steelers win and cover

Carolina/St Louis - Panthers blow the Rams out to cover

What I never understood is the line for the Texans came out and at the time oddsmakers did not know if it would be Shaub, Yates or Keenum. They didn't know because the Texans didn't know. So the oddsmakers are saying it doesn't matter one bit. And true to form they announce Case Keenum and the line doesn't move an inch. Granted I live in Houston. My mind tells me one team trending downward and another upward. One team at home playing solid football. One team playing 3rd string non drafted QB.

So ya take the Texans. My mind says KC by over 14.

just because the public is dead wrong about a game doesn't mean it's fixed; on the other hand SOME of the games are clearly dead fixed. I'm thinking of that Pittsburgh game a few years ago where, I think it was Polamolu,[correct me if I'm wrong] intercepted a pass for a pic 6 on the last play and screwed the spread. The refs called it null , no score and RAN off the field.Later they said, mistake, we can't account for it but the score was official. That is Prima facie evidence that fixed games do occur with league support, but most of the time it's just about uninformed bettors[I.E. the importance of not famous linemen, linebackers ,corners and safeties that may be injured, try and play, rookie backups etc.]

Well we had a nice 4-0, they may have not been fixed games but I think we're onto something!   We all worked together and lined up a nice profitable card.

Should I keep this thread going or start a new one every week?
