I don't know why my post submitted, but here is the remainder of the games strength of schedule.
Ariz 31st NO 25th -------------------------- Balt 16th Ind 21st --------------------------- Dal 19th Min 32nd
Maybe it's no accident that if you have an easy schedule, you have a better chance to make the playoffs. I think that it's possible that a descent team with an easy schedule will have a great year. And of course it works the other way.

gl sir although this will not be an easy win for SD if they win it. ive only bet one game...cards ML and that was much closer than it needed to be
i probably wont even bet the jets game unless i can get 300 or higher on the ML and thats the only way i'll play it. covering but losing in the playoffs is like kissing my sister (if i had one)
You can remind me of my Cinci wins easily comment anytime you like.

Good point on sos. Jets played teams with a better combined w/l %. But the Chargers are playing their best football of the year right now. They beat Washington with their second team....yeah I know it was a nothing game for both sides, but the Bolts' weapons are finally healthy all at the same time for once, and I don't think the Jets will be able to stuff all of them. I am a homer as you probably guessed, but I have to tell you, don't underestimate the Charger's advantage playing at the Q. I was at the Wash. game and the Redskins got jacked several times for false starts, 'cause they couldn't hear a damn thing. But I think the line is fat right now, and I think the Jets will be there till late in the 4th. GL to all.

Just to clear things up a little. Strength of schedule is:
SD 27th
Jets 9th ------------------------------
NO 25th
Ariz
This means about zip to me when it comes to the pros. College is much different and has to weighed with that gravity. When it comes to the pros, everyone knows the talent level from worst to best is a very small fraction.Case in point - my cousin was a starter for the White Sox. This kid could really bring it... to the tune of a 98mph fastball. His wife was out of town and he asked me to take him to the park. For some odd reason, when he got in the car, I noticed he looked pale as hell. I called the book and bet 5 dimes on Detroit. Now, this was years ago when Detroit was an awful team. I knew though that the talent level is so small in pro sports, that this kid looking like a scardey cat would be my ticket to a victory. This is true in all of sports, btw, not just baseball.

Thanks for chiming in. But I was responding to a gentleman who commented that he thought that SD played a tougher schedule. I was just trying to help out.
Of course you are right about the talent level. A 4-12 team might be just a few drops, or a few false starts or a few holding penalties away from being 12-4. I fully understand that.

1) everyone on these forums is going to love the Chargers this week...
2) that is good news for us!
HUH? Silly statement. everyone going to see how the Jets beat up the Bengals. They are going to see themselves getting a TD and some thinking this is easy money. I think Vegas wants you to take the Jets. everyone seen them all year and not much of SD.

Can anyone please tell me how many times San Diego found themselves in a losing situation during their past 11 winning streak and found a way to turn the game and win it?
Living in another country makes it hard to keep upto date on all the games this year

i think it's a very important stat cos the belief this team has at the moment would be incredibly high to know they can be challeneged and find a way to win. Any team in world sports to have won 11 straight games at the highest level is something to be very wary about when choosing to bet against them. Only big factor obviously is the margin in which they win

Everyone needs to stop trying to talk themselves into a Jets SU win. It's not going to happen. I've seen every Chargers game this year. They are focused and have 1 goal-to win the Super Bowl. The Jets are a nice story but I just don't understand how the OP can just dismiss the 11 game winning streak. Any team in the NFL team can beat another on a given day. Didn't NYJ just recently lose at home to the Falcons??? Look at some of the Oakland wins(Pitt, Cincy, Philly). The fact is for the past 3 months SD has found a way to avoid that. SD's lack of a running game is being grossly overhyped. They make up for it with screen passes. Revis can only take away 1 receiver. Even if he shuts down Jackson(which he won't due to Vincent's size advantage), River's still has Gates, Floyd, Naanee, Sproles etc...way too many weapons. Jets backers had better hope they don't fall behind early because they cannot keep up with the Chargers. The Jets have won 3 straight over Indy(who lied down) Cincy(also had nothing to play for) and Cincy again(losers of 4 out of 5 to end the season. Don't overanalyze this. SD is by FAR the better and more talented team. The Jets have to play out of their minds just to stay in it. Look further into the scores of SD's recent games.
Philly-SD led 28-9(then Philly won 6 straight)
at Denver-SD won 32-3
KC- SD won 43-14
at Cleveland-SD led 27-7(then Cleveland won 4 straight to end the season)
at Dallas-SD led 20-10 before a meaningless Dallas td with 2 secs left-does this not look like a great win now??? Dallas hasn't lost since.
Cincy-SD was up 24-13 to start the 4th
at Tennessee-SD 42-17(Tennesse had won 7 of 8 with the only loss being at Indy)
Don't be fooled by final scores. The Chargers have been dominant. The final scores make some of these games look a lot closer than they actually were. The Jets very well may cover but they are NOT winning this game.

During the streak they've had 3 close games(not including the last game against Washington with the starters out)
At the Giants they were all but out of it after a rare River's interception with the Giants up 3 and maybe 3 plus minutes to play. The int was returned inside the 5. The SD defense held up(yes they CAN stop the run when needed) forcing a FG. River's then drove the team down for a game winning TD in the final minute. Final SD 21-NYG 20
At Dallas the score was 10-10 heading to the 4th but SD scored the next 10 points to seal it. 20-17 final after a garbage TD by Dallas.
Cincinnati-the score was SD 24-Cincy 13 in the 4th and the Chargers had the ball. River's threw a bad pass deep in his own end that was intercepted which led to a td making the score 24-21 after a 2 pt conversion. Cincy later tied it with under a minute left but SD quickly got into FG range and Kaeding kicked a 52 yarder as time expired for the win.
SD pretty much had a decent lead in every other game during the streak.

interesting thanks md so they had a few lucky escapes by sounds of it watching espn sportscentre they seem to believe the Jets can cause a mismatch to the Chargers game but the more you check into these two sides the more it starts to appear as though the bookies are baiting the Jets +9 line. Chargers have one of the most explosive offense's in the game so it looks to me like a blowout. Might jump at the -9 now before it goes down slightly.

the Jets are 31st in the league in passing, seventeenth in scoring and eighteenth in touchdowns scored
Chargers are fifth in the league in passing, tenth in total yards, FOURTH in scoring and FIFTH in touchdowns scored
RIVERS > Sanchez
But they are #1 in Running the Ball against a SD team that is a mediocre at best in stopping the Run....If the Jets can continue to Run the ball that will kepp the High powered SD Offense off the Field allowing the Jets a Very good of 1. Covering and 2. Winning

Rivers got stats... but more importantly he's a hard nosed gamer. Cant see the Jets pullin this one out... possibly see em covering.
That being said The Jets bring it... they attack... its impressive and enjoyable to watch; but this is the playoffs, and the bolts have been there. They know what they got to bring to win.
We're gonna see 2 teams goin at it full bore. Sanchez has impressed (congrats Jets backers, I believe yous got a keeper.) But Rivers is a bright, tough, efficient QB... and he's much further along the learning curve.
Yes the same could have been said about Palmer... but Palmer wasnt right (in body, mind and spirit apparently.)

I think the starting line says it all SD-9. Vegas is begging for Jets action. SD will be up early and Jets arent built to come form behind. SD has too many weapons and will be well rested. Revis on Vincent Jackson. Who is going to cover Antonio Gates? Bart Scott?

That #1 rushing offense is great unless they get down early and have to abandon it. 7-0? Not a big deal but if SD gets out to a big lead like they have in most of their recent games-lookout.
Philly-up 14-0, Denver 13-0, KC-28-7, Tenn 21-3 and Wash 13-0(with the starters in). SD has the ability to get out to big leads early and that can't happen for this Jets team to have any chance of winning.
