Ya  they can only beat the teams in front of them  same goes with SD    I just think that the Jets are over their heads in this game

Jets dont need to score 30 tin win every game like SD...thats not their style. they run and play defense

Neither does SD. They beat Miami 23-13, the Giants 21-20 and Dallas 20-17. The Chargers know how to win ugly too.

I think it comes down to pass offense on this one. The Jets handled Cincy due to Revis, who is excellent, shutting down 85 and Palmer playing awful. But in reality who else could he throw to? Coles got most the action and he's not a real threatening presence.
Revis may shut down Jackson but I think size may play a factor here. Floyd and Gates should be fine targets for Rivers, not to mention Sproles on screens. 
I guess my main point is in games against elite QBs who distribute the ball to everyone (I think Manning, Brady, Rivers, Brees, and Farve this year are in that class) the Jets are 2-1 but the game they played in NE they got killed and Manning got taken out in that game that the Jets won. I think that Brees will be able to hit his other receivers and have a rather easy time of it.
We'll find out on Sunday but when a team is on fire the way the Chargers are I won't be going against them.
I hope it gets bet down to around 7.5 but I would be comfortable with 8.

i want to say the Jets can beat the Chargers, but I just cant. Anything bad you bring up about the Chargers can also be brought up about the Jets. But man, I love the confidence Rex brings to the table.

I'm seeing -7.5, which is about right.

I'll be going to the game with my Sanchez USC jersey rooting for neither team.

Jets did good in 1st half of season, then fell apart in the 2nd end.

Chargers fell apart in the 1st half of season, then did good in the 2nd end.

I say the Chargers. Both teams have good defense, Rivers is a better QB.

I don't think Indy is all that great running the ball either, what would you give the Jets chances in Indy based on this stat alone?

agreed. traveling cross country and the line has dropped two points. should be a good game but i could see the super chargers making the bigger plays and pressuring sanchise into some turnovers.

playing in Indy would be a tougher test than playing in SD

cant base it on that stat alone. indy actually plays defense and peyton manning is twice the QB of anyone in this league. there's no one smarter or better at avoiding hits. no one better at making quick decisions either

i do believe that NYJ (+7.5) or better is the play of the year in the NFL...

your breakdown of the winning streak is just one of many reasons... but the media has set this Chargers team up to be something it is not... not by a long margin... they have no business laying even a FG in this game, let alone more than a TD...

Jets will lead this game from start to finish...

 i Rivers is most OVERRATED QB left in playoffs, including JEDI ROMO. He throws those high rainbows that the JETS D will be able to defend. REVIS is a BEAST and SD can't run.This really falls into Jets favor of controlling clock and shortening game for the COVER for NYJ. 9 points is way too many, should be under 7?

 i like the back and forth and happy everyone is shitting on the Jets. i dont like it when they are favored or "supposed to win". thats when they suck

this is a good matchup for the jets; better than indy. rex knows this as does schottenheimer

i had one of these "me against the world" games a few years ago when Rutgers hosted Louisville on a thursday night. spent all day convincing people to take RU +6.5 and the ML.

gl sir although this will not be an easy win for SD if they win it. ive only bet one game...cards ML and that was much closer than it needed to be

i probably wont even bet the jets game unless i can get 300 or higher on the ML and thats the only way  i'll play it. covering but losing in the playoffs is like kissing my sister (if i had one)

Those were all games they could have lost, but they won them.  To win 11 games in a row in the NFL is a tough feat.

Agreed. Add 1 more team to their conquest - the Cincy Bengals. Cincinnati lost their momentum and peaked in the last 1/3rd of the season and then Chris Henry dies. Sanchez goes back to where his homies are and plays with a mega-hangover... literally
