Milwaukee is clearly the right side, but the market has taxed every safe way to play it. The full game run line is the only reasonable price, and that forces the question, can create a two-run margin in what the market expects to be a relatively low scoring game. 

Philadelphia’s bullpen can keep the game close

If Painter gives up only two or three runs and exits, Philadelphias got a solid bullpen

Painter may be bad without being truly 6.21 bad

His estimated ERA is closer to the upper 4s, suggesting some positive regression

Padres–Orioles over 9

Camden Yards should be hot

Griffin Canning enters with a 6.34 ERA and has struggled 

The concern is San Diego’s inconsistent offense

I’ve only taken a quick look so far.

Just putting some early thoughts out there. I need to get closer to game time, see the lineups, and then find the best spot

My book is now listing Tanner Banks as Philadelphia’s starter, while MLB.com is still showing Andrew Painter. My best guess is Banks opens for an inning or two and Painter follows as the bulk pitcher, unless Painter has been scratched and Philadelphia is going with a full bullpen game.

Has anyone seen anything official on the pitching plan?

Padre bats are near or last in a few offensive categories..which of course doesn't mean much as for this particular game, but it could.

What do you think Philadelphia’s pitching setup is tonight? Is Tanner Banks just opening for an inning or two before Andrew Painter comes in as the bulk pitcher, or has Painter been scratched completely and the Phillies are going with a bullpen game?

It makes a big difference to the handicap, so I’m trying to get a clear answer on the actual plan.

I'm not involved with the total, So I'm locked in on this matchup

Painter’s biggest recent problem has been the beginning of games. He needed 42 pitches in the first inning last time out and allowed four first-inning runs. Using a left-handed opener could let Philadelphia protect Painter from Milwaukee’s top-of-the-order lefties the first time through. 

A true bullpen game is possible, but Banks has a 6.08 ERA and 1.90 WHIP and has not started this season, so it would be unusual for Philadelphia to expect much length from him

The indecisiveness and last minute switch up screams Brewers -1.5 to me now
