lvsc released seattle as a favorite by 1 point in denver. wow. what's cooking here babes? the line will be interesting to watch as i can' already predict the heavy public sentiment for the broncos. super bowl present? or seattle is set in to win? the line will be interesting to watch.

Obviously hindsight is 20/20 but I sensed that Peyton and Denver were going to get it done today because of the amount of talk about Brady 10-4 vs. Manning on ESPN and the # of people on Pats + the points. Denver really has more playmakers on the team, IMO.

On Sportsbook Spy both the 'dogs were about 68-9% of the bets. Just seemed like everyone liked the Pats. and the 49ers. I am starting to catch on... Just gotta have the Balls to say it BEFORE the game.!

I did go 4-0 today but small bets.

Phix, I assume you picked this monday simply because of the strength of Seattle's D and the 12th man and the niners offensive problems. I'm sure it had NOTHING to do with what transpired on the field today with all the no calls and phantom calls by the refs. And NOTHING to do with 57/59% of public on SF ATS/ML.

I think the niners COULD have grabbed this game with a few more breaks, a few less crap ref calls, or just better play on offense.

But as to the ongoing argument on here about Vegas' influence: Why did our man here call this game MONDAY and then we witnessed the refs doing as much as they could to tilt the field?

Not saying it's 100%, they only had to give S-hawks a better than fighting chance.

My call (and I know nothing):

With 81% early on DEN, line will go up to 2.5 - 3.5, but still >60% of public on DEN, Peyton, & Elway

Game: lots of early calls on Seattle DBs that rest of league has been waiting for, they'll be handcuffed like they've been handcuffing receivers beyond 5 yard line all year.

Denver wins, Seattle covers, Peyton retires in offseason with neck degeneration. Wish I could parlay that.

Don't wanna sound like a person but Sea is not at Denver. Game is in NY. Like Seatlle but waiting for 3+. Manning and Co will get love. Appreciate the insight this year. Good luck on your superbowl bet. I already know what I want to do. Just waiting for the right spot

Peyton Manning already gave away one Superbowl to New Orleans back in 2010 after Katrina. I see no way the NFL doesn't give Peyton Manning one more Superbowl as he rides off in the Sunset. How they do that and Seattle Covers will be interesting to watch

. I just cant see the NFL giving this one to Seattle?

This would be all be more clear if we didn't try to think in black and white. It's not 100% fixed, it's not 100% clean.

If you don't think Refs leaned SEA, then congratulations, you know more about football than Joe Buck and Troy Aikman.

But then explain this: why did our man pick this game so early in the week?! It was that much of a mismatch? Or was there something else at work?

Excellent calls, Phix. As someone who took a beating with you mid-season (Redskins anyone?

), I can see the key is to just commit and stick with it. As sportsmavin says, winning streaks will be losing streaks, and losing streaks will be winning streaks.
