You'd be crazy not to hedge. 7500 is a lot of money. Put down the 7500 on denver and pat yourself on the back man. Thats a sweet win. Seriously you shouldnt even be considering not hedging. This is the situation gamblers dream about. You have a guaranteed +750 payout. Sit back count your money and buy something nice. Dont be gre

These teams are even.  Manning has won 11 of 15 mondays.  Rivers has been good though too.  i would agree with taking the gamble out of gambling tonight and hedge the sure thing.  But the previous thread written about tring to middle doesnt sound bad either.  whats your monetary position?  750-1 sure thing sure aint bad...and you can just enjoy the game...personally im on the bolts...but gl, and nice picks on getting to your position!

    It's stupid to hedge.

BUT, obviously 15k is a lot of money to most people so do whatever makes you able to sleep at night.

For me, that would be letting it ride. Otherwise, I would have just never put the last game on the ticket!

(BTW, I'm in Ontario too. Have fun cashing that down at the head office if you do win; God, what a nightmare!)

Go to the airport, grab a ticket to Vegas, put $7000 on Denver and enjoy your night. That's what I would do at least.

this is very much true, but hes doing the canadian lottery and who knows what the 7 teamer would have paid.  the 8 teamer should pay closer to 200 to 1 not 150, but they have good medical care in canada so someone has to foot the bill.

if a 7 teamer paid 75 for 1 or better than u definitely should not have included the 8th team as a monday night game, and put urself into this stressful situation.

i like san diego to win comfortably, so i think u will complete ur package tonight.  but just so u dont have to live in regret, why not put 1850 to win 1000 on denver and buy up to +3.5 at -185, so u have a small chance to win both if denver loses by field goal.  at worst u win 1000 - 100  for 900 profit.  at least that will cover 9 more 100 parlays to last u few weeks.

You have to hedge here. Even if you believe the Chargers have a 70% chance of winning this game, there's no way i'd risk 15k on a 70% chance. I'd hedge atleast 5k if you still want to benefit more if the Chargers win instead of 7.5k

    Well done!!

I have hit 7 of 8 on those tickets before, but I've never been in the position to hedge with one game remaining (I usually lose an early game of course!!).  And I only throw $20 down, not a hundy.

    I would hedge five grand.

Neither team has beaten anyone of note, and for the most part - they've both lost to "good" teams.  But I look at it this way - do you REALLY want 15 grand riding with Norv Turner as your HC?

For me, that would be letting it ride. Otherwise, I would have just never put the last game on the ticket!

(BTW, I'm in Ontario too. Have fun cashing that down at the head office if you do win; God, what a nightmare!)

Having never cashed a big ticket - do they make you jump through hoops to cash it - or do you just have to wait in line for the better part of a day?

i like san diego to win comfortably, so i think u will complete ur package tonight.  but just so u dont have to live in regret, why not put 1850 to win 1000 on denver and buy up to +3.5 at -185, so u have a small chance to win both if denver loses by field goal.  at worst u win 1000 - 100  for 900 profit.  at least that will cover 9 more 100 parlays to last u few weeks.

The 7 teamer from Proline does in fact pay 75 to 1.

    I need SD to cover -1.5 against Denver and I win $15000. Well $14900. I bet $100.

I really like Denver tomorrow. How much would you guys hedge. My brother thinks I should go $7500 on Denver +1.5. I really don't want to hedge but thinking of putting $2000 to $3000 on Denver +1.5 so that I don't feel so bad if SD covers.

I really like SD in this spot but the line is fishy...why only -1.5...its home game. Help me break down these games guys...thanks.

ahhaha good old proline lol i would hedge for sure i love denver today

No books pays 200-1 on 8 team parlays even though that is closer to true odds. Most best parlay payouts offshore for 8 team is 150-1.  Some books offers slightly better but I like 75-1 and 150-1 with 7 and 8teamers because they are closer to the same pay out as most offshore books. Other payouts with proline are big time rip off.

The main reason i play these parlays on proline is because the have a lot of bad lines...they don't move the lines like offshore and often bad lines are left hanging....it used to be way better few years ago...this year they are not as good because now they seem to be adjusting the lines on friday sat and sunday.

i srsly hope u started this thread from McCarran.  your ability to hedge depends on your ability to get a serious bet down locally and get paid on it.  if you can get something big down locally and don't have to sweat getting paid, that other dude is right, take a middle shot on 3.5 (2,3 wins both).

or simply watch the 1H play out and then hammer the 2H.  since the game is near pick, it shouldn't bee too lopsided after the 1H.  you might get a 1H from SD like GB had last nite and, in that case, you'll be glad you didn't give half of this away.

other way of looking at this is you're getting +15000 on a $100 bet on SD -1.5.

Never hedge out of the gate.  Hope denver takes a lead at some point in this game and take SD in game wagering at + $$$$$$.   If they never take a lead in the game you just eat it.

I would hedge or why put yourself in this position with all or nothing on the last game, especially one so hard to call like the MNF.  150 to get 7500 is unreal.  150 to get 15000 or possibly losing 150 is stupid imo!
