Like everything else in betting football, sometimes an angle works and sometimes it doesn't. The original poster's argument that game results almost always come close to the spread is demonstrably false. The Eagles blew away the Raiders by several touchdowns in a game with Raiders favored by a little bit. The Bears/GB, Seattle/TB, and NO/NYJ games ended nowhere near the spread. But in a full slate, obviously some games will end right near the opening spread. At most, there might be one rigged night game a season according to a syndicate guy I once spoke with.
When an opening line looks too good to be true sometimes it is (Cincy - 1 at Miami) and sometimes it isn't (Indy +1 at Houston).

bears gb. every1 lost their behind on gb teasers and points.
seattle tb. (wasnt seattle 2nd half the best bet of the year) no one bet seattle or tb money line. so free play to have seattle come back
jets saints. i was at the sportsbook. ppl took saints 1st half, and chased again when they were down 20-14.
the eagle game was wild no clue what happened there. but a lot of under bettors after seeing the eagles score single digits past two games

basically the line dictates the game. if its a 3 point spread most likely a fg game. why? marketing ratings betting the hand in the cookie jar. we think its rigged :)
and a handful of us are picking winners. NOT 100 % sure if we are betting on rigged games. but the line knows more than we do. So F it.

Better stay away when we can smell a loose moose.
I find it funny, Redskins SHOULD have lost to San Diego when they sucked like that and were supposed to win here, but because they WON in San Diego bookies wanted to reverse it so they lost here and broke even so to speak on that part. Thats why we also saw some reverse line movement. Because in reality, Skins should really be able to challenge Cowboys in the division.

Right Boston funny thing is when you reckinize these things you are a insider and you will be rewarded as such when it's foul play involved in a teams victory such as the Skins over SD they normally have to tank the next game or so depending on how nefarious the situation Skins gave the stolen game back to Minn they payed it forward just like GB and the highly questionable collar injury to double check I'm not buying it I think he dived for this story line of the simi capable backups going at it in the NFLs most historical rivalry the Bears win broke up millions of dollars in teaser money but this wk GB has to make amends in losing to Phi who will capitalize off the Was lost and the Bears will beat Det at home and receive the gift of front running the division that has been givin the league wants the Bears the have diehard fans all over the country that have been waiting an eternity for a SB win so look for them as a possibly to try and average their lost against P Manning this year but I'm getting ahead of myself

I'm leaning Detroit over bears dusty, especially if cutler comes back it wod restore faith in the bears backers and they won with out him double trouble set up . That Philly game looks too easy to take philly, I might take the squar bet or just not touch it. Philly will catch Dallas to be 1 game back by the time they meet last game of the season for the "final showdown"
