FLYING DOWN TO VEGAS WEEK 1 AND I WILL BE LAYING $4,400.00 ON GREENBAY -6.5!! BOOK IT THIS YEAR!!!!!

OK!...So I started this tradition about 3 years back where I fly down to Vegas for the opening weekend of the NFL (at the Wynn) and I place 1 bet which I consider to be a large wager (3-4k) on the game. For me its the thrill and excitement of starting off a new season there is no better atmosphere then week 1 in Vegas and if I win that game I go back home with a good head start to my bank roll to kick off the season. 

With that being said since I have started to do this things have not went well for me in opening week in past years. Starting back from 2012 where I took the Eagles over the browns and to cover the -8 spread well....Eagles pulled it out but only won by a point. Then the next year in 2013 I decided to go with what I thought was the "best and most safe bet on the board and take Tampa(-2.5) over the Jets...well tampa lost outright..Which leads up to last year as some may remember I played my largest bet for a week 1 game I took the saints in ATL... and lost in OT..... needles to say guys I'm due for a week 1 win.. I catch allot of heat on this forum year in and year out and Im sure it will be no different this year.. 

My pick this time around is GB laying -6.5 on the road..and yes I know what you all are thinking what is wrong with this guy does he ever learn not to keep playing road faves week 1... Ya well I like GB in this matchup they kept allot of the pieces from last year  and they are facing a bears team who is in the rebuilding phase new coach new system and I don't see Rodgers & company slowing down at all and until Cutler and that D line can prove me other wise...IM ALL IN!!

IM GOING WITH THE ROAD FAVE AGAIN!!! GB -6.5

how do you know what the line will be in three weeks when ur actually in vegas?

don't put all your eggs in one basket.just like i stay away from parlays,i have better luck betting 5 or 6 games straight bet all the way

I agree, the public will make that 7.5, maybe 8 by gameday I would think. 

BOL to you though, hope that  you hit it whatever the line may be...

yep, hate to see that for Nelson. That may keep that line at that number, but you are losing a big factor in that O. I still like GB tho, just not 4.4k's worth.

Very poor money management, you place a large bet when a high probability play presents itself.

You don't try to find a large play just because it's week one.

Big blow if this were a playoff game YES..but even with the news breaking today I still like GB here..Cuz last I heard Rodgers still got Adams and Cobb to throw too... ohh and Lacy running holes through that weak weak bears squad... I'm still confident

GL with this bet. Got some b@lls taking a big road fav in Week 1. 

Home dogs of +5 of more in Week 1 are 4-25 S/U but 14-15 ATS.
