My bottom line was, the dumber your bets look, the better off you are with NFL bets. It's absolutely true. I don't think that the NFL is fixed. I do seriously wonder how many players are taking money to throw games though. Who would have believed me saying that NBA refs throw games before finding out about it this year? Not a person. Green Bay was kicking the shit out of a crappy Bears team, no problem at all. The announcers spoke about how great the WR for the Pack, Jones, was and how great his hands were. Next thing you know, two fumbles in the red zone later from fucking Jones, the Pack get no points. Players like Jones don't make the $15 million per year. They are the lower end paid players. You can't tell me that some freaking big wig never goes up to these players and offers them $10 million to fumble a few balls, drop a few passes, take a few dives etc. etc. to help cover a game because the big wig and his boys have $100 mill on the game. You know it happens in every sports. It's been proven a few times, but think how many others are out there. Same deal with NBA teams being up 3-0 on games and dropping the next 2 or 3 to make it a series because NBC will lose tens of millions of dollars on advertising and ratings per every game that isn't played. The shit happens all of the time.
All that being said, and so much more that could be said, even if games are fixed and thrown by some players, as long as you are on the right side of the bullshit is all that really matters. Why do you think the bettors that only fade the public are such big winners?

The NFL is not fixed but the line makers played psychological trick with your mind when setting the line.
Half time's spread was at pick, the way GB played in the 1st half, who wouldn't want to jump on them. Even those who had Chicago would want to hedge back their plays on GB even though it was only a TD difference. What I don't understand is that do these half time lines makers have some sort of program that they entered to come up with the line.

ATG, just the fact that any player, coach, on any team (or ref) in any game KNOWS the spread, total, etc, of the game they are playing in means anyone of them could have an intentional influence on the outcome of the game in regards to the line. Wether for personal or outside benefit or just to get off on screwing people one way or another. The only way to do away with most of it would be to outlaw any type of legalized sports wagering. The mere fact that gambling exists in the mainstream means that there is always a chance any game you are betting on is fixed, and they are. I have accepted this as part of the deal when I make any wager. I just hope I'm not on the wrong side if it does happen. Stock Market is the same thing. Everyone knows there are crooks everywhere on Wall Street yet people continue to "invest". The entire system is designed to do what it has always done, let the rich get richer and to keep the poor and middle class wondering how the hell they do it and why can't they be "lucky".

I believe referees have a hand in the outcome of games, I for won won a bundle of money in 1998 when I had the Patriots vs the Bills, line was Pats -2, 4th down & 15, the ball was thrown down field, the reciever caught it clearly out of bounds, I would say about 2 feet out, and the refs gave the Pats a 1st down, (no instant reply then) LMAO! Then with 20 secs left on the clock from the Bills 49 yard line, the Qb throws a pass into the endzone, "pass interference", in my opinion, the defender never touched the receiver, then the Pats scored a TD; the Bills were so furious, they left the field, the Patriots lined up for a 2 pt conversion with no defense on the other side, LMAO! I never scene anything like that, Pats won by 5, the Bills never came back on to the field & I won some serious money. Bottom line to my story, their are hands at work when you get humans and multi millions together.
Watch what happens in games & decide for yourself, I wont criticize anyone for their opinion because we do not see eye to eye. Just hope at the end of the day you were on the right side of the team covering, Good Luck!

There is no way fixing is anywhere near the extent you say...You can't coordinate groups of players or whole teams to fix a game...You might be able to get a single player or more importantly the ref...Games definitely are and can be fixed, but if it was a large conspiracy someone would squeal...a disgruntled player that is cut, an ex player; someone looking for a book deal...The GB game today for example had some very fishy calls, other than that I don't know what to say...Maybe the game was fixed maybe it wasn't...I guess I am saying I half way agree with you...I would say the NE game today was more of a very bad break than a fix...

dont for get that cleveland game affected the over under also. pats have the ball 4th and goal and they go for it up 10 points????? instead of kicking the fg???? then the conveniant fumble to cover the spread and the over. there is no doubt certain games are fixed. I agree with Maxim to an extent. If fixing games was a "Team" effort n the entire roster was in on it then thats a helluva stretch imo. Someone would have came out with something by now. Do you realize what would be at stake if someone spoke up about fixing games.. We have chris webber who got caught in college and plenty other players and teams in question! I dont think all players are involved at all but certainly coaches, refs, and prime time stars are involved in this scheme we like to call betting.. why the hell else would we have professional sports if it wasnt for gambling? We tryly wouldnt need it because when a team makes the superbowl and wins does it really effect anyones life or even make a bit of difference? hell no. When they talk do they ever say that will flat out win and when they do does it ever happen? HELL NO.. they say its a business! Just sit back and enjoy the show
Large amounts of money attracts attention and is also the breeding ground for corruption. I'm a degenerate gambler and by no means do I mean to disparage others who gamble but I'm aware of the pitfalls and speak through experience. I've now become a recreational gambler and have no illusions of making a living in sports betting. A select few can and most don't. I love to gamble - I always did and always will - but I've paid dearly for my gambling education degree.I just want to pass on what I learned so the others won't have to learn the hard way.
