2008 Olympics was supposed to be Kobe's team. But they did better when his "back-up" (D-Wade) was in the game. Don't forget that the 2012 Olympics LeBron took on the lead role. Kobe's great and all but his first 3 rings, he wasn't the main guy and there was no pressure for him to win, the pressure was on Shaq.

He has a handful of batting titles, No one dares to throw to him.. I will buy into the trout talk when he wins the batting title from Miggy, It would have to be done twice... Trout does other things on the diamond yes, but Miggy is the reason trout scores 200 runs If he is hitting in the same lineup Miggy is in.. Same goes for how many RBI's Miggy would have.. You can compare them all you want, put them in the same lineup and you will find out who is better than who, and who needs who more.. Miggy still got it locked down for next two years maybe 3, then trout maybe goes to national league or vice versa!!

U youngsters make me laugh
1. Kobe is the best 1 on 1 player in NBA history (that includes Jordan). The problem is basketball is a team sport and Bryant is selfish and has very little interest in making teammates better.
2. Kobe being clutch is the most overstated nonsense. He has the clutch gene, but he is so selfish he insists on taking the last shot even when he has a bad shot. As a result he shoots under 30 % in game deciding moments (see game 6 2010 against OKC where he throws up air ball and metta has to bail him out)
3. Kobe rode the most dominant center in history's jock to 3 titles. Rather, than looking at how many titles a player 1 the dispositive criteria is whether his teams achieved in accordance w their underlying talent. In Kobes case there r at least 4 seasons that his team significantly underachieved. For Lebron that only happened the yr they lost to Dallas.
4. To suggest that Lebron is playing on the best team in history is incorrect. As has been pointed out, Wade basically is a shell of his prime. More importantly, any of the 3 best teams of the 80s would beat Miami. During that era Stern intentionally concentrated the best players on a few teams. The lakers, celtics, and the best of all time 1983 76ers would beat the Heat. also, is any1 really going to try and say they would beat the bulls.

All I remember is that ugly shot he took after leading his team back in the finals.
Why?
Hesitation shot, the fear of failure.
The celebration he does after these game winners are fcking hilarious. There's a man who needs to prove to the public that he can make shots under pressure.
Clutch? we'll see. He'll need to be, the only way this Miami team accomplish the three peat.

How'd I know people would over-react to one meaningless last second shot.
Was it a great shot ? It was a great shot with quite a bit of luck to it.
Lebron is the only NBA Finals MVP who shot 12.5% below his regular season ave in 5 of 7 (71.4%)games in the NBA Finals.
He has consistently underperformed in the NBA Finals.
He missed a 3 pter at the end of game 6 last year VS Spurs that could of cost the Heat then title, but because Pop took out the best rebounders the Heat got the rebound and with James yelling for the ball the rebounder decided to pass to Ray Allen who made the last second 3 that James could not make.
Hey but he made a last sec 3 in a meaningless regular season game let's all call him the greatest !!!

Great game from Lebrun no doubt but two games prior he was 1-6 from threes with 5 TOs and pretty much lost the game to Utah. And to those arguing he's not on the best team is silly, they WERE a playoff team already and added Lebron and Chris Bosh. You plug Kobe, KD, or even Melo and they would all win rings in that spot, period.

WELL, If you're going to play that game, Ray wouldn't have gotten the shot w/o Chris Bosh offensive rebound. you're going to pin the championship on that 1 play? Ray would not have gotten the opportunity without Lebron James mvp season and his other team mates that propel them into the finals. all in all , I'd say Lebron is the main cog in the team.

Kobe is a wanna be mj and rode shaq an phil to his titles.. When his teams were not good we found out who the real kobe was.. An arrogant wanna be mj punk who blamed his teammates for their failures.. He even ran shaq out of town after shaq GAVE him three titles (shaq 3 finals mvp kobe 0 in dat stretch).. Good luck seing kobe take a team half as good as lebrons cavs with boobie gibson as ur sidekick to the finals.. Lebron has always made his teammates better.. A few things.....
1. He hit a 3 pointer vs. Orlando at the buzzer to win Game 2 of the East Finals as a Cav
2. Some of you write off Ray Allen.....well, without him being TRULY clutch, LeBron has 1 ring.
3. If he played in the 80's against the great teams, LeBron would be a jump shooter because he would not go to the lane. His headband would be knocked off in the first 3 possessions. I miss those days...when players hated eachother instead of now when every game is a love fest with pre and post game hugs. The Bad Boys would knock him on his behind, step over him, and do it again the next play.
