There is no denying that a team that beat the defending Champ Warriors who beat red hot Kings is getting owned by perennial also ran Nuggets, would Nuggs have run ws or Kings 4-0? Celtics who dominated all season and as favs to win it all are getting owned by play in Heat. We are now in a $$$ worldwide League. Last 3 nights all "must win" lost. I don't want to hear about after the fact Nuggs are so good nor Heat are so good, we all realize any team can beat any team on any given night. So how or better question is why are celtics and lakers underperforming?

My take is that NBA is now finally an actual reflection of our soft ass society where players make so much money they really don't care going on vaca early vs playing the string. Why really care if you a make $mill and can chill then lace it up in a few months. There's no killer instinct. And most importantly there is now an influx of bettors with legalized gambling a books wet dream. Bets thing we could do is organize a 1 day NO BET day to fuck the books. That'd be off the hook if worldwide nobody bet during a whole day of sports, it'd expose the conspiracy.

Hard times make hard men, hard men make good times, good times make soft men.

florida - who are not by a long shot the best team  in hockey dominating relative playoff favorite.

    Vegas hopefully wins it all.

Or, as Joseph Conrad put it:

“But in truth they had been men who knew toil, privation, violence, debauchery—but knew not fear, and had no desire of spite in their hearts. Men hard to manage, but easy to inspire; voiceless men—but men enough to scorn in their hearts the sentimental voices that bewailed the hardness of their fate. It was a fate unique and their own; the capacity to bear it appeared to them the privilege of the chosen! Their generation lived inarticulate and, indispensable, without knowing the sweetness of affections or the refuge of a home—and died free from the dark menace of a narrow grave. They were the everlasting children of the mysterious sea. Their successors are the grown-up children of a discontented earth. They are less naughty, but less innocent; less profane, but perhaps also less believing; and if they have learned how to speak they have also learned how to whine. But the others were strong and mute; they were effaced, bowed and enduring, like stone caryatides that hold up in the night the lighted halls of a resplendent and glorious edifice. They are gone now—and it does not matter. The sea and the earth are unfaithful to their children: a truth, a faith, a generation of men goes—and is forgotten, and it does not matter! Except, perhaps, to the few of those who believed the truth, confessed the faith—or loved the men.”

So how or better question is why are celtics and lakers underperforming? My take is that NBA is now finally an actual reflection of our soft ass society where players make so much money they really don't care going on vaca early vs playing the string. seems to be that way almost every year or other year. Last year Eagles and Phillies in the championship..  Tampa Bay Bucs, Lightning and Rays in 2020. Boston Red Sox and Bruins .

Florida Panthers and Miami Heat in good position to do the same this year. Wonder if I should start putting a little bit of futures on the Miami Dolphins lol an_popcorn

Sip on that plus money honey!

Both teams are one Butler or Djoker injury away from making history and coming back. So it is possible. peace_5

50 years ago a man would quietly ruin his life by gambling, now an entire generation is getting taken to the cleaners in plain view

    Magic Johnson agrees:

“In my 44 years of being associated with the NBA I never thought I’d see a Boston Celtics team, a franchise with 17 Championships, quit. I know Celtics fans all over the world must be disgusted and devastated. The Miami Heat blew them out 128-102 in Game 3.” peace_5

But maybe these two well-coached and cohesive teams are just beating the crap out of less well-coached and obviously flawed teams.  The Lakers beat a Warriors team that shot 10% below their normal 3-point shooting, while the Lakers shot almost 10% above... it was anomalous, and now that the Lakers have returned to earth, their flaws are being exposed.
