Scal and I probably disagree on this. I've seen too much over the years to turn a blind eye to how officials intentionally try to affect the outcome of games. Scal is more of an optimist, which is one reason I like him so much. Me, more of a cynic. I can go on and on about individual games where I felt the league had an agenda but I won't, unless you ask me. Needless to say, I think (hope) the officials will help tonight rather than hurt. It's good for the league to have both NY teams in the playoffs as it can only be a ratings boon. Hence, I look for lots of knicks free throws tonight.

I like the New York Knicks tonight, also.

Certain points you've made in your initial write up lends me to believe of you being a seasoned and very knowledgeable handicapper in the NBA. I agree with your summary of tonight's game; player stats in any of these games are already taken into consideration by oddsmakers. The only intangible that would tip a game left or right of the line would be the EMOTIONAL SCENARIO...
