Ragingstorm, I have three places where I look at consensus picks. Covers (not good, in my view), Sportsbook.com (Betting Trends) and Vegasinsider.com. In your opinion, how do these consensus picks percentages stack-up against where the public money really is?

Ok, just read the post before mine after I hit submit...lol.
Total I came up with for Det/ATL is 196 for home/away stats and 191 with overall stats. Does it matter which one?. Line is around 182ish so you take the under which is the opposite of what the stats say.

For totals I have been using overall for three years. Works fine. Never hit less than 55% Dont forget to look at Injuries,how many they have covered RECENTLY> Etc etc etc
As far as the two NCAA games in question:
Mil- should be getting 13. They are only getting 6 they are a low % dog. Therefore that is a play. TAKE THE OPPOSITE!!!!
Marqutte SHOULD be -10 but are only -4. Seton Hal+4 is the play as a LOW% dog.

Vandy suprises me. But I posted it. So, its a play altho im not keeping a record anymore. I can tell you if someone researches it, I can almost tell u 100% that its around 65%

sorry guys i know this is after the fact but with my understanding of the system i have purdue -2 central mich +4, wisc-milwauke +6 ind state +1 seton hall +2.5...virginia +8.5, depaul +7.5....all system plays as far as my understanding goes...
raging storm - any reason you didn't take some of these games?

ragingstorm first off thanks for replying early on in the thread and thanks again for sharing your system with us. out of curiosity why is indy not a play today? according to your system and this is assuming i am doing it right on offense they are favored by 3.7 but on D they are dogs by13.1 which gives us bos -9.4 and the line is bos -4. Doesn't this qualify since the consensus 75.19 on bos?

Yes many reasons. U need to look at normal every day capping afterwards. IE: Have they cpovered 4 in a row? (or whatever in a row) Did they play three in a row on the road, Injuries, etc etc etc.
Of course the biggest part of it is simply the public.

Actually I didnt check these games. I only did "top 25" I forgot to do the whole Sked. But if they fit.....
Boston doesnt work becuase of the injurt to Garnett has completely screwed up the stats. When thier is a key injury u must leave the TEAM alone. At least id say 2X the games he missed. ..
