i guess nothing impresses you about any team in the league so wats the point in commenting?

The Thunder are a dominant Western powerhouse?    1 Finals appearance in their history and dominant?

uuuuuummm,ya think maybe multiple season defining injuries have anything to do with that by any chance???

youre real clever talking in retrospect..i guarantee you that you had them winning the title that year, just like everyone else that installed them as favourites...real smart trying to down-talk them now.

so yes,at full strength, even with a retarded coach, they ARE a western powerhouse...check the best regular season records over the past 4 years of all teams in the league and get back to me on where the thunder rank.

Regular season standings make you a powerhouse?  I thought championships did?  Or at least Western Conference championships and I believe they only have one of those.  The Spurs are considered a powerhouse yes.  Thunder not so much.  All teams have injuries.

jeez, people are quite slow mentally round here arent they??....so you dont understand that losing one of your absolute superstars,2 of the top 5 players in the entire league, during playoff runs for the past 3 years has a CRITICAL effect on your chances of winning the west or better??
theyre one of the elite teams in the west for a period of 5 or so years now end of story....if youre too dumb to see that i dunno wat to tell you.

Are you some fortune teller or something?  So if Durant and Westbrook are healthy you are guaranteeing Finals appearances?  I'm quite sure those guys were healthy for at least 6 seasons together and made 1 Finals.   I'm sure you will have the answer since you seem to know everything.  Yes I pay attention to injuries, doesn't every team deal with them?

Are you some fortune teller or something?  So if Durant and Westbrook are healthy you are guaranteeing Finals appearances?  I'm quite sure those guys were healthy for at least 6 seasons together and made 1 Finals.   I'm sure you will have the answer since you seem to know everything.  Yes I pay attention to injuries, doesn't every team deal with them?

Would a perennial powerhouse really fire their coach if they were so successful?  Funny I don't see the Spurs firing Pop.  Durant, Westbrook and Thunder have had some nice regular season success yes.  However, when that hasn't translated in the post season for whatever reason you can't call them a powerhouse.  That is all I am getting at.  Injuries or not, it's about winning and results.  A lot of teams could make that argument then.  You could call the Bulls a powerhouse and blame their lack of post season success on Rose injury then, but we know that just isn't true.

Nikon, I have a question for you.  Now to start off I never claimed Lebron is better then Jordan, however I do think they are just plain both great in different ways.  I don't anyone has ever done more on the court for one team then Lebron, I will say that.  He can play 5 different positions, passes the ball a ton, rebounds better then centers in the NBA, can steal, block and nobody outside of Big O Oscar Robertson or maybe Magic Johnson, has triple-doubles like Lebron.  My question is this though, People always make the claim that the Eastern Conference sucks and that's why Lebron always makes the Finals...but consider this, consider if Lebron did actually play in the West...If he did, obviously it would be for a semi-elite to elite type of team.  Meaning Thunder, GS, Spurs, Rockets, Grizz, Portland...now if your telling me, if he played for any of those teams...that team wouldn't win the Championship any year?  He also has beat a very good Bulls, and Hawks team this year with a scrub team.  However if you do actually put Lebron out West on any of those teams, they should easily be able to run through the Playoffs and then easily win the Championship against a weak Eastern Conference.  You could make the argument that it is easier for him to get to a Championship in the East but it's deff not as easy to win one because of who he always has to end up playing against in the West.

Another thing about the Jordan/Lebron debate.  Jordan was always my favorite player when I was younger, and I was obsessed with him like most kids were at the time.  The most amazing player in the clutch of all time.  However, I always wondered how Houston with Hakeem, Clyde, younger Horry, Cassell, Mario Elie and Kenny the Jet Smith would have done against Jordans Bulls if Jordan had never retired to play baseball.  I always give the edge to the Bulls but I think it would have been his toughest match-up.  One thing that people rarely talk about is how Lebron has never had an elite coach since he has been in the NBA which in reality is huge.  Say what you want but Jordan didn't win a Championship without Phil Jackson.  Lebron has never had anything close to a Phil Jackson.  If you think elite coaches don't matter look at who has won the last 30 Championships and who their coaches were.  The only real semi-elite coaches to win outside of Spoelstra with Lebron, is maybe Carlisle with Dallas.  The rest is all Phil Jackson, Chuck Daly, Greg Poppovich, Pat Riley, Larry Brown, Rudy, Rivers...Consider that Jackson and Poppovich have won 16 of the last 25 Championships and consider if Coaches matter.  People always argue that Bird, Jordan, Magic all stayed on their same teams, and would never leave their City.  At that time Free Agency was much different and also they never had a reason to leave their city outside of Jordans first couple years.  However, Jordan got an elite team 5 to 6 years in to his time with the Bulls, you can't say what he would or wouldn't have done if he didn't get an elite team though.  You can't say that because your not him, and that's not what happened to Bird/Magic/Jordan.  My point is, Lebron is the first to win a Championship in 30 years with a Coach like Spoelstra, and he did it twice.  Bosh/Dwayne were not very elite in their time that Lebron played with them, certainly not Pippen who is a top 50 player of all-time, on offense and defense.  Rodman, who yes had zero offense but was the best rebounder of all time and Jackson who is the best Coach of all-time.  Jordan is the best ever, however Lebron James does certain things better then Jordan and vice versa.  Who cares whos better, Lebron is the best in the NBA right now...they are different players who played in different eras, that's all.  Jordan would be killed in the media these days for gambling during the playoffs, punching his own teammates and traveling to games alone of with his own friends.  Especially considering that outside of Lebron making one decision to go play in Miami, he has been followed his entire career since he was 15 and when do you ever hear a story of him getting into trouble off the court ever?  Nobody gives him credit for that....

Great points you made about the coaches.  Bron has had some weak coaches.  I think is partially to do with him bouncing from team to team during free agency though.  I also disagree that Wade was not elite with Lebron.  He averaged 25, 22, 21, and 20 each year he played with Lebron in Miami and Shot 50% or above in every one of those seasons, so that is pretty elite.  Of course he wasn't going to average 30 with Lebron playing on the other wing with him.  But Wade was still easily a top 10 player in the league.  Bosh numbers also declined from playing with Bron, but those were two key pieces in their title runs obviously.

no,during the playoff portion of the season they were NOT healthy/available for 6 seasons, not even close...but then ive already pointed that out previously and yet you just seem to wanna ignore it.....westbrook,durant(and then ibaka for a stretch also)have hardly been together for a full playoff run the past 3 seasons.

this is like smashing your head against a brick wall..
they WERENT "so successful" primarily cos of injuries at crucial times...thqats why they fired him..and doesnt it say sumthing for how good they were that they enjoyed such regular season success(and 2 very good post season runs also)with a retard for a coach??...shows just how talented their roster is that they cud win so much just on individual ability of players and basically no coaching and no system.
well, the bulls are one of the top 3 or 4 teams even with rose being injured, consistently over the past few seasons...but thats in the east so it dont count for a whole lot.

So if your two studs breakdown every post season you can't be considered a powerhouse right?  duh.  Isn't durability important if you are to be considered a powerhouse?   Not that hard to figure out.  Putting the Thunder into a conversation with the Spurs is ridiculous.

    RAMPAGE,
When did I call Jordan a little kid?  I said, Jordan always was my favorite player when I was a kid.  Learn how to read....

Also, your a Patriots fan so it doesn't surprise me that you criticize other people without making any valid points yourself.  Take that cheater off as your idol, everyone sees through his bullshit now.  Go spy on some other teams practices and deflate balls on purpose.  Whatever it takes to win though, Right?  If only all our cities owners were former best friends with the commissioner we could all get a pass on being cheating fool....If nothing was so bad on the tapes of 8 years worth of you guys taping other teams practices, then why did Goodell have to get rid of the evidence so quick?

Also, your a Patriots fan so it doesn't surprise me that you criticize other people without making any valid points yourself.  Take that cheater off as your idol, everyone sees through his bullshit now.  Go spy on some other teams practices and deflate balls on purpose.  Whatever it takes to win though, Right?  If only all our cities owners were former best friends with the commissioner we could all get a pass on being cheating fool....If nothing was so bad on the tapes of 8 years worth of you guys taping other teams practices, then why did Goodell have to get rid of the evidence so quick?
