Lebron will be the greatest player of all time at the end of his career. People who don't understand that clearly do not watch basketball.

Bird was the best period. I don't need to explain the obvious. Jordan has James beat, not by far, and that's why there's debate, but Jordan was better than LJ could ever be.....period. I'd put James closer to Magic than Jordan. It's always debatable, always will be because of different situations that they were all in. My opinion.....Larry Bird was the best ever. No doubt.

Interesting to see LeBrick in the next couple of years as he begins to decline.  Jordan and Kobe developed a mid range post fade away jumper that is unstoppable even in the latter years of their careers. LeBrick still doesn't have a signature offensive move that he can go to when his team needs a bucket.

    LBJ just exposed everyone.

MJ leaves the Bulls. THE Bulls go to the conference finals by themselves and they were within a shot of going to the finals. WITHOUTH MJ

Lebrons leaves Cleveland. Instantly they become one of the worst teams of all time. Period. Lebron leaves Miami now they are a sub .500 joke of a team. And these guys have a roster, championship pedigree and two HOFers. Oh they also play in the East and still can't score over 85 points a game. ok.

The proof is in front of your eyes. Put Lebron on Kobe's shiitbox lakers team.... they'll make the playoffs in western conference.

The level of ignorance partially fueled by hatred towards Lebrons is ridiculous.

Bro do you even understand what you're talking about?

Lebrons FG% keeps climbing every year. He doens't need a signature shot. He literally does everything. The one thing his game was lacking a few years ago was his post up game. Now he's an elite post up player. That's why his Shitty fundementally awful miami heat team was able to win some rings. He was there Post up center, power foward, and point guard.

Guys like you who claim to know a thing or two will keep re-hashing the ray allen 3 pointer where "the heat got lucky to win". Wheres ray ray now? Look at the heat now. The least ray ray could have done for Bron was hit that 3 pointer. The feckin guy carried the whole god damn team on his back since 2010.

There is no-way in your incoherent rambling you can ever be serious stating MJ is better than LeBron, you are so pathetic if you compare these 2, LeBron is OUTSTANDING, and he is on a totally different level than MJ is. LeBron is probably the best athlete to ever have lived when you look overall in all sports. Lmfao at these kids, MJ looks like he doesnt know what a basketball is when you compare him to king lebron.

The only chance for us (Boston Celtics) to win the finals is if Lebron gets injured or if LeBron has to do the job on his own, because Miami has a horrible horrible team besides LeBron. Tbh, without LeBron James the Miami Heat is the worst team in NBA history if wade doesnt show up.

LeBron > MJ - BY FAR

Wow.....just......wow.  I can say so so much on this thread, but I will just leave you with this.  Those that know basketball will understand the meaning.

Intelligence, not basketball I.Q created from physical attributes and practice, but intelligence that translates seamlessly to basketball I.Q.

Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh, Ray Allen

Scottie Pippen, Horace Grant, Steve Kerr/John Paxson

    G.O.A.T = 6-0 NBA Finals Appearances (33.6 PPG)

GOAT = 2-2 NBA Finals Appearances (22.5 PPG)

I rest my case you ignorant, unintelligent, di*k riding, sorry excuse for basketball fans.  Covers please archive this thread in the dungeon and let us end this idiotic debate, it is no contest, no one was, is, or ever will be (in my lifetime) the G.O.A.T but Michael Jeffrey Jordan.

You're 100% wrong and you have an agenda with Lebron.

it's really hard to take anything you take seriously. You clearly have blinders on.

Yes original poster is a troll who's over exaggerating to the extreme.

You're comparing MJ to Bron when MJ ALREADY HAD A GOD DAMN BIG 3 AND A HOF COACH AND THE BEST TEAM WITH HIM AT ALL TIMES. BRO?

seriously how dense can you be to not NOTICE it?

Was lebron suppose to stay in bumblefeck high school team cleveland cavaliers and let PP34 KG Rondo Ray ALLEN and DOC rivers plus a STACKED UP BOSTON team roll over every feckin year while Cleveland did nothoing about it? You seriously cannot be that dense?

MJ had 2 hall of famers with him at all times.

Did you miss the part where the bulls went to the conference finals without him and almost made it to the finals? Are you serious right now?

What is Miami doing right now? Why was cleveland the worst team ever after lebron left? And mind you Cleveland had a better roster than dopey Philly or charlotte.....

Yo bro where is MIKE BROWN? The all knowing pricneton offense guru..... hes feckin nowhere...... why? Because LEBON JAMES MADE HIM. Just like Lebron made cleveland and just like Lebrons made spolstra, and the heat.....

The heat might not even make the playoffs...... and they upgraded their roster.

Lebron just exposed everyone. I cant stand the cavs feck kyrie and Kevin love they are scrubs.... especially kevin love. The sad part is lebron is gonna make them too and win a few more rings caring these herbs on his back and everyone will continue to talk garbage about lebron not realizing the bigger picture.

Reggie Miller goes to play with Ewing Jordan isn't winning no 6 rings..... slow down bruh. Dude played with a big 3 while no other team had a crew like his..... of course you'd win all the time.

You talk a lot of sh*t bro.  You love Lebron that much man?  The guy is the most physically dominant player in the history of the NBA.  Yet at times he does not play with even 50% of his full potential.  Get off his di*k already.

You called me dense like 20 times, yet you are the one that lacks the intelligence, your arguments are absolutely flawed in so many ways.  Almost made the finals.  Big three with him?  Best team at all times? So Dwayne, Bosh and Allen are what scrubs?  1 championship from a young team that wasn't ready.  1 fluke championship, 1 loss that broke historic records as the Heat had the biggest point differential in NBA finals history.

Call me dense all you want, attack me as much as you want.  MJ had intelligence and I.Q and that is what separates him from Lebron.  LBJ will never win 6 championships and you need to remove your a*s from his c*ock.  41ppg in 6 games against the Suns.  He beat Stockton and Malone, Showtime, Barkley, Payton & Kemp and had two three-peats.  Come talk to me when he wins 4 rings.  No need to call me dense so many times bro, it is a matter of opinion, and my opinion is that you and many other have the identical intelligence of Lebron James if you think he is the best player to ever dribble a basketball.  He is not.

genecam,my man i love your posts, your passion and knowledge and enthusiasm for the game is unmatched....great stuff!!....but on one point you need to do sum serious revision of history...in his first run of titles jordan most definitely DID NOT have a "big 3",all-stars nor hall of famers by his side...he had a young-ish scottie pippen who was just coming into his own and finding his place in the league that only during that 3-peat began to establish himself as the long,lean,uber-athletic,do-everything,swiss army knife-type of all time great that we now know him to be......then after that the dude had wall-2-wall scrubs and role players as far as the eye can see.he carried basically one of the weakest supporting casts to ever make the nba finals to 3 straight championships, which i dont think gets enuff credit as one of the greatest accomplishments in sports in the modern era...i mean shiit, them teams were comparable to the mess that lebron carried to the finals first time up against the spurs as a young 'un.

lets check the facts-horace grant, just a lunch-pail&hard-hat rebounding role player that you NEVER would have heard much of had he not played alongside AIR.....other starters were b.j armstrong(de facto point guard even tho m.j and scottie did all the ball handling and initiated the offense),bill cartwright,a limited and aging borderline nba centre and then john paxson basically a slot-up shooter to knock down shots created by all the attention put on jordan and pippen.....so,to review, apart from pippen ya got grant, armstrong, paxson and cartwright to go along with a "stellar" bench of......wait for it........craig hodges, stacey king, cliff levingston, will perdue(thats not even a player, thats a UNIVERSITY!!!!),and scott williams...others to follow thru the years were the likes of bobby hansen, dennis hopson, rodney mccray, and trent tucker........now i dunno but anybody else but there aint a magnifying glass big enuff on the planet to help me find the all-star supporting cast/hall-of-famers amongst that sorry lot!!!

now die-hard bulls and jordan fans will even claim that the dude can practically walk on water but believe you me,next to carrying this group to 3 strait rings skipping across the surface of h2O is looking like a breeze from where im sitting.

in his second run of course jordan had a super solid crew of versatile,athletic,defensive-minded veterans and together with a rejuvenated m.j. they were at times as unstoppable as any team in the history of the league with a fully blossoming pippen, well rounded kukoc that had found his feet in the league, rebounding wildman rodman and seasoned role player ron harper(plus sum nice pieces on the bench too)....but even then im not sure you can claim that his 2 hall-of-famers pippen and rodman, were significantly better than wat bosh and wade will in time be remembered as....pretty much a wash in my view.

now of course it goes without saying that the premise of this thread is so absurd and ludicrous that even monty python would not attempt such a lampooning effort so as not to look too silly....its tough to find many well-versed experts ANYWHERE that give the nod to lebron overall as a player, let alone by any considerable margin....but of course its just a joke by the original poster to bait people and draw reaction(as mentioned in this thread many times previously),and theres zero chance he actually believes such a wild and fanciful claim.

lets check the facts-horace grant, just a lunch-pail&hard-hat rebounding role player that you NEVER would have heard much of had he not played alongside AIR.....other starters were b.j armstrong(de facto point guard even tho m.j and scottie did all the ball handling and initiated the offense),bill cartwright,a limited and aging borderline nba centre and then john paxson basically a slot-up shooter to knock down shots created by all the attention put on jordan and pippen.....so,to review, apart from pippen ya got grant, armstrong, paxson and cartwright to go along with a "stellar" bench of......wait for it........craig hodges, stacey king, cliff levingston, will perdue(thats not even a player, thats a UNIVERSITY!!!!),and scott williams...others to follow thru the years were the likes of bobby hansen, dennis hopson, rodney mccray, and trent tucker........now i dunno but anybody else but there aint a magnifying glass big enuff on the planet to help me find the all-star supporting cast/hall-of-famers amongst that sorry lot!!!

now die-hard bulls and jordan fans will even claim that the dude can practically walk on water but believe you me,next to carrying this group to 3 strait rings skipping across the surface of h2O is looking like a breeze from where im sitting.

in his second run of course jordan had a super solid crew of versatile,athletic,defensive-minded veterans and together with a rejuvenated m.j. they were at times as unstoppable as any team in the history of the league with a fully blossoming pippen, well rounded kukoc that had found his feet in the league, rebounding wildman rodman and seasoned role player ron harper(plus sum nice pieces on the bench too)....but even then im not sure you can claim that his 2 hall-of-famers pippen and rodman, were significantly better than wat bosh and wade will in time be remembered as....pretty much a wash in my view.

now of course it goes without saying that the premise of this thread is so absurd and ludicrous that even monty python would not attempt such a lampooning effort so as not to look too silly....its tough to find many well-versed experts ANYWHERE that give the nod to lebron overall as a player, let alone by any considerable margin....but of course its just a joke by the original poster to bait people and draw reaction(as mentioned in this thread many times previously),and theres zero chance he actually believes such a wild and fanciful claim.

now,in saying all this i respect lebron and his wondrous physical gifts and all-court game and think he may go on to be recognized as one of the 2 very best that ever played the game..he is a perfect representation of the evolution of the game,a huge, athletic, intelligent, quick, strong, super skilled freak of a man...............but in the end ya got to side with jordan as the greater player for exactly the same reason that he separated himself from all his other peers and that is his COMPETITIVE WILL...its been documented in text and thru spoken word so many times it gets boring hearing stories of this guys desire to win...i dont know of a more competitive, desperate, relentless athlete in any sport in any era...this guy was an assassin in shorts.he would rip your fuc.kin heart out and show it to you out there on the court and sell his own mother down the river if it meant attaining victory(and not just in hoops,in ANYTHING!!)......as players both offered so much and its tough to separate them honestly but michaels mentality and desire takes him to that other level, calipari mite have said it but jordan epitomised it and lived it...dude REFUSED to lose!!!

already in lebrons career we've seen periods where he has been limited and neutralised to at least sum degree...in all the years that i watched jordan i never saw him neutralised for any length of time at all(and the pistons practically physically assaulted and molested him for entire series at a time).jordan is just a different beast.....the same thing that makes him superior as a player on the court is wat makes him less of a human being(just going by wat i read of accounts of personality traits and off-court incidents) than lebron in my opinion............lebron has perspective and prioritises the way a decent, rational person should do as we have heard him often speak of his family life and friends as above/ahead of basketball.
in this regard i dont think jordan ever wavered or compromised for even a split second.....as long as he was lacing up his sole purpose in life was to BEAT you and nothing got in his way or slowed him from that objective.....from a psychological case study perspective the guy can be regarded as a pretty sick individual actually.i mean in the end hes just chucking a ball into a hoop,right???..not exactly life or death???........well,inside his mind it was probably a different story.

i dont mind admitting to being a fan of jordan,as if its not obvious already hehehe.....guy was just so charismatic and almost magnetic on the court,ya just could not take your fu.king eyes off him....obviously im not the only one, with the sky-rocketing global popularity of the game sparked primarily by his feats and presence.............but regardless i am able to take the blinkers off and look at players on their merits.kobe and lebron are highly, highly impressive jaw-droppingly good players but theres only one mike.

He is not.

good to see ya chime in,makaveli...agree that jordan mentally in terms of knowledge of the game/players and also how to apply his wondrous abilities was way off the charts.that basketball "i.q" as we call it was just another arrow in the quiver of a dude so close to perfection that it was scary.......BUT im not so sure he's got lebron beat on that count to be honest....i read an article(cant remember where it was...grantland maybe???)a little while back chronicling lebrons mental/cognitive talents and apparently this guys mind is insane....his ability to learn quickly and adapt and adjust is almost mechanical by all accounts,he has a photographic memory that can actually be as much of a burden sumtimes as it can be an asset and he can recall with accuracy specific details of moments in meaningless games from 15 years prior...and is known amongst his peers as unbeatable in those video games that kids play these days where you have to memorise button and joystick movements and counter opponents moves also...sorry,i never played video games i cant say specifically how that works...and of course we all see his vision and the way he can control and navigate on court and it is evident that he studies the game like few others in the game.
the article pointed out that it was this mind that caused him so many problems at times during the miami era as he would replay past perceived failures over and over which could cloud his focus and implant those inner demons that we saw so starkly in that mavericks melt-down......OVER-thinking basically....supposedly steps have been taken to address this as it was sumtimes a "gift and a curse" type of deal.

haha,i guess in saying all this ive argued a bit against myself by showing part of james weak spot.......perhaps jordans single-minded focus is an edge in itself.....but it surprised me to learn of the marvel that is lebrons mind....was a good read for sure

Clearly your opinion is one that hates on Lebron. You have some kinda beef with him.

He will easily win 4 rings and quite possibly 6 as well. Who cares if he has physical gifts. How is that his fault? If he was smaller he wouldn't be so dominating, what? If MJ wasn't 6'6'' he wouldnt be able to play basketball? If a  submarine had wings it could fly..... great argument to that. The fact you bring his physical attributes into this argument is pretty lame.

He lives in a different era so you get to see into his life more easily. By the sound of it you have something against him. Jordan was no saint himself... he didn't live in an era that gave outlets to his life.... everyone talks about him likes hes some magical super hero.

Everything lebron has done to this point have him on pace or better than Jordan. Jordan didn't go 6-0 in the finals lol. I didn't know Chicago was called team Jordan. Last I heard he played for the BULLS.

It's still hilarious how you refuse to acknowledge the fact that HIS BULLS TEAM is amazing even without him. FAAAAAAAACT. Lebron just showed you how awful Miami and Cleveland is without him. As season goes on it will become more glaringly obvious.

I'll be back to address all points later today.
