Lebron shot more  then 12.5%  below his regular season ave in 5 of the 7 games, just a fact.

That would likely be one of the worst performance ever for a finals MVP, just another fact.

No comparison to his poor overall performance in the series and the performances and those of other great players...............................................

And by the way, I had a best bet play on the Heat to win the series and put several best bet plays on the Heat throughout the series, but the facts are the facts................................................

Do not dare to say Michael Jordans name in the same sentence as u-know-who (the king of course). Its a disgrace. Its not even close whos the better player of these two. Yeah if u want to compare something relevant, than compare durant to michael jordan. But to compare the king of basketball with MJ? Lmao, please stop it. U make urself look stupid.

Not a relevant comparison since Lebron has played 2 more full seasons compared to MJ at the age of 28 since he entered the NBA straight out of high school .  MJ also did leave the team he drafted him by the age of 28 to go win his first title either with other all-stars.  Try again.  Lebron is getting close to D Wade though.

Show me when mj averaged 25 pts. 11 rebounds and 7 assists for a finals series.. must be nice to average those numbers while playing "poor" Haha.. also its amazing, u girl cuz  he don't do enough. Then he does enough and hes not clutch enough. Then he goes in game 6 and 7 and wills them  to victory by doing EVERYTHING and u still girl. Unbelievable.. last night was one of the best finals performances by a player any of u have ever seen. Just shut the hell up and respect it

Everyone is allowed to their opinion even if it seems a bit off. Saying a player is the best ever is opinion there are no facts to the argument. In the grand scheme of things who cares who the best ever was It's just a damn ego thing. Let this shit rest. Let James be James and ball and we know what MJ accomplished.

Yes, MJ is currently the GOAT

But not merely because he went 6-0 in the NBA Finals.

LBJ is chasing MJ....and while I too feel that MJ is the greatest - losing in the NBA Finals does not disqualify you from being the greatest.

Muhammed Ali is considered the greatest of all time....folks he was not undefeated....he lost his championship belt several times...BUT REGAINED IT.

I also think that is what folks are missing with Kobe being greatest laker......to me, Magic Johnson coming to LA in 1979 and basically living in the NBA Finals...winning five times and losing four is CRAZY GOOD!!!!  Getting to the NBA Finals 9 times in a 12 year span........c'mon man !!!!

That alone makes MAGIC the greatest Laker of all time

So yes MJ is the greatest but he can be caught.....LBJ just has to stay the incredible course he already is on (few more rings, more mvps, more record performances, etc...).....and then maybe the attached video could one day be true.

As a side note, people talk about Rodman as if he was on the team for longer than he was.  It was just 2 years people.  Horace Grant was an unsung hero for that team.  Micheal created so many opportunities for guys to be open for 3's like Craig Hodges and John Paxson.  Scottie had many open looks b/c of MJ obviously.  But I do think that people forget how T Kukoc and R. Harper improved the team.  Ron Harper was a beast with the LA Clippers.  Every year in the early 90's, Harper and D wilkins were always a threat to MJ's scoring titles.  In '94, Harper was far from washed up.

I'm not against Lebron.  He's an awesome athlete.  But he's not as good as MJ.  BTW, it doesn't matter that he's just the best during this era, and perhaps not as good as Alojuwon, MJ, etc.  He's still fun to watch.  Comparing is too tough to do, and it's more or less, a just a fun conversation.  It's not meant to be take as serious or as exxagerated as the opening post on this thread.

BTW, there's one regret, I think all NBA fans of the 90s have:  Houston Rockets VS Chicago Bulls Never happened.

I actually think the Rockets would have beaten the bulls, and that's touch for me to say being such a huge Bulls fan for my entire life.

One of the best posts I've ever read in this basketball forum. In the world of hypotheticals I think that Houston team beats them too. Olajuwon is the best center i've ever seen play. That includes Shaq. Jabar was before my time.

The year mike retired after the first 3 rings, they bulls actually added quite a few quality players to help them supplement the loss.  It was not all Scottie Pippen; however, Pippen had one hell of a year that season.  One of the good players they added was a man by the name of Tony Kukoc.  At the time, he was considered Europes best player perhaps besides Petrovic.  Kukoc made the bulls better instantly.  Another player they added, was Ron Harper.  The Bulls may have won 75 games had Micheal not taken the emotional sebatical of having lost his father from, ironically enough as I state this on this forum, sports gambling.  The year the cav's lost Lebron, the added virtually nobody.  In fact, the got worse, as they weren't prepared for his absence.  At least the 94 Bulls knew ahead of time.  It may not have been announced until after season tickets went on sale, but only an idiot would think that the Bulls didn't know he wasn't going to be around.  I have such stong knowledge of this bulls team as I grew up watching this bulls team develop.  For those of you too young to have seen it, it was quite amazing.

Rockets wouldn't have beaten the Bulls..I admit I'm biased (look at my avatar I'm a Jordan fan not a Bulls fan) who is guarding Michael? An eccentric Vernon Maxwell who probably would get ejected a time or two. So Mario Ellie?

If you want break it down position by position...only advantage is Olajuwon at center and the Bulls could throw enough of their front court guys at him to at least make him work for it....

People go by what they remember but who's to say Robert Horry and Sam Cassel are in spots to make big shots against the Bulls anyway? Don't get it mixed up because the Bulls were a better defensive team than the Knicks or Magic as well
