this is gonna be a good game, hawks will play very tough in this one. as a big laker fan and someone who places a wager on every laker game (whether its for or against my team), i feel like any wager against them is a bad idea right now.

this team has finally shifted gears and they are playing like a championship team. although they might lose to atlanta on tuesday, they will not lose to miami on thursday.

either way i like OP's thinking process, but i'd rather make a small wager on the lakers and a normal wager on total (over is nice tomrorow)

All angles for this game is in favor of ATL. First is public money will definitely be on LAL primarily because of their performance recently especially against the SPURS. Second this will be a revenge game for Atlanta because of the blowout they receive from staples. I believe they were looking ahead yesterday for this game basing it to their loss last game. Lastly, the look ahead angle for the Lakers against the better teams (Miami and Dallas). Also, even though the Lakers are rolling, they have a tendency of relaxing through games specially now that there are on a streak. Maybe they can win SU but might not cover the spread.

Tough game is waiting but I'm with Lakers. They playing really well now, and I don't think so coming to rest before mach against Miami.
In other hand Atlanta is not showing excellent games. Good luck everyone.

Lakers own these guys. 7 or 8 straight I believe.  Plus hortford only averages 9 or so against the lakers.  Complete lock here.....I HOPE :)

i'm a huge Lakers fan but i might wait until the 2nd Half to bet on this. Whoever is trailing at the Half, I will put money on them to win the 2nd Half. Although the Lakers look good right now, this Atlanta team beat the BULLS at home. Yes, I bet on the BULLS to win that game and was VERY mad since they were up so big at halftime. That's why I'm going to wait until the 2nd Half.

i dont really buy into the whole look ahead game. sure lakers have a big game on thursday. but lakers also have a big game on saturday against dallas. does that mean lakers are looking ahead to play dallas and lose to miami? then lakers play orlando on monday. doe that mean lakers will look forward to that game and lose against dallas?the lakers are trying to catch up to dallas for 2nd place. and its still possible that they can catch up to san antonio if they keep playing at this level. so i would say every game counts as of now. the lakers can play extremely well first half against atlanta. blow them out. then rest their stars in the 2nd half. and still get plenty of rest for the miami game. the lakers are to hot right now. lakers or dont play is my bet. but goodluck to everyone

understand your reasoning but if hawks were truly looking ahead to this game they would have won and not covered the spread

 

also the kcks demolished without Mello or the other starter

and hawks are listed 100% Healthy !

hwever lakers last 3 times at atl have come away a s/u loser

remember when lkaers never ever won @ portland (of course when portland was healthy with ROY playing )

rember the game portalnd played before lakers came in as a 15 point chalk to the lowly wolves squeaked a 1 point win ?

THEN the lakers came in as  a 2 1/2  chalk after a win at home over better team and got thier ears handed to them @ Portalnd again

BUT notice blazers  WON the game looking ahead to the def champs Lake show

this hawks team lost to a knicks team with two top starters out

last 5 home games 1 -4 ats 4 s/u losses  as a chalk

Hinrich an upgrade over bibby but the hawks just are undersized vs kobe bynum and the others  stoppoing that 3 headed  monster of lakers is a tall order 

IF the hawks won the game vs the knicks  i'd say ok yes  BUT do you really think lakers will fail on 1 nites rest after beating a top west team in the spurs  they know the hawks are a good winning team

i also thought Rockets would fall @ The Kings last night  they also hammered the Kings at home just few weeks before and continued to hammer them again after a huge DD win  the game before

so lakers already know they can handle this team and should not over look them !

This is lkaers again as always post break !

Like a nuclear powered steam roller  will go on winning ats streaks like 4 or 6 in a row then fail one game
