     I've been anticipating this rematch since the Hawks lost to the Lakers (104-80) in a blowout in LA. Now the Lakers are coming off a huge emotion win against the Spurs and will be coming to Atlanta to face a team that probably had this date tattooed on Josh Smith's neck.

     The Hawks last game (loss) against the Knicks could be excused or credited to the fact that the Hawks were looking ahead to the Lakers, I believe that Atlanta w/their new PG will dominate this home game in the ATL, also the Lakers or Kobe will be looking to go head-to-head in their next match-up against King James and the Mi-waaaami Heat.

I'm going to have about $10,000 going the other way...on Lakers -4.5

I have $5,000 on it now and am looking to add another 5-10K by tomorrow.

I'm not saying that should scare you off your bet but it should make you think twice...

it'll be half laker fans at phillips and the hawks suck. trust me i live in atlanta nad watch them every game

I'm not betting my house, car, or wife, so I wont be too upset and kill myself if I lose, but you on the other hand, I'm starting to worry about!

Home fans are a little more self-deprecating because they expect a lot from their teams, I guess that's why a lot of people try to avoid betting on their favorite teams, thanks for the insight.

The Lakers have looked to make HUGE statements since they came out of the breaking, winning 7 in a row as a result. Their first game back was the domination against Atlanta. They won about as big a statement game as they possibly could on Sunday, blowing out the Spurs and handing them their 3rd home loss. Right now, heading right into this game at Atlanta, is when a VAST majority of the gambling public has caught onto LA. That's when it usually is time to go the other way, similar to how a lot of people jumped on the Chicago Bulls train one game late tonight. 

From a psychological aspect, the Lakers dominated this team just a few weeks ago in LA and don't really expect to see the Hawks in the finals (if La does actually make it that far). MEANWHILE, the Lakers' next game after the Atlanta matchup is another HUGE revenge game in Miami. total lookahead spot while Atlanta is bumming off an ugly home loss. It's setting up to be a 10+ point Hawks win. Lakers have little statements they like to make in the regular season, and once they're done with their little spurts they become great fade material. Tomorrow vs the Hawks is a rare opportunity.

Honestly, after Sunday's win against the Spurs, the books could open LA -6.5 if they want to avoid LA money. The fact that this opened at 3.5 tells you all you really need to know.

 My hope is all the public saw the LAKESHOW crush SA and bets them large. ATL is a good team and they have the home loss to NYK and the Laker loss to motivate. Feeling here is Lakers shot too much load last game and will come down to earth

Just to let you guys know, I have already loaded another $5,000 on my Lakers -4.5 wager

I now have $11,000 on Lakers -4.5 to win $10,000

I'm looking to lock in another 5K before tip-off tomorrow.

I am VERY CONFIDENT the Lakers will cover this game. And FYI, I would have bet the same amount even if the line was Lakers -9.5. Having it at -4.5 is just an extra gift and makes me feel even more confident I will cash.

I thought the short line was definitely fishy after LA completely dismantling the #1 team in the league that only lost 2 games all year at home.

Lakers have turned around it seems after the break and are a solid road team so it seems like 4.5 to the hawks is easy.

Hoping that the line moves to Hawks +5 or 5.5 and I'll pound it (pounding for means betting to win $20, LOL).

On the same boat with you. As soon as I saw the line, I know something's up. Vegas doesn't give money away people. They make mistakes once a while but more often than not, they're correct. I'm hoping in this case, they're correct.
