Kobe's better than Jordan. Jordan just got more rings because in Kobe's generation, there are a lot more better players than Jordan's era

Jordan played when isolation offense ruled..defense was like swiss cheese on a club sandwich...kobe has to constantly run through double teams on a nightly basis and routinely shoots the long 2/three point long ball better and more efficiently than MJ....PJ will even tell you that, hes already said it

name a few in mj's era
 
barkley,robinson,olajuwan,ewing,miller,stockton,malone,drexler etc
 
there were alot of great players that u cannot compare with players now

Let me bottom line this for all you guys...THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER JORDAN PERIOD.There is no need in even discussing this.

kobe is great but if anybody has chance to better than jordan it's lebron james.  this guy is the the real deal.  he's 23  and carrying a team on his back.  kobe wasn't even the best player on any of his championship teams, he was shaq's side kick.
 
i think, RIGHT NOW, kobe is far and away the best in the league but by the time lebron james is his age it won't even be close.

Yes i agree kobe is the best player in the league now, but i dont know about lebron alot ppl saying that later on hell get better and stuff cos of what hes doing now at a young age, but honetly i think james has reached his potential, he might get a little better but kobe is gonna be a few notches up on him,

 Yes I would care to differ, Kobe is undoubtedly the second best in the league to Tim Duncan, however he is giving that vibe off that he is about to take it the legendary status. He has maybe 5 more years of pure excellence and jaw dropping achievements, HOWEVER, how can you compare something which cannot happen? Jordan is the most clutch sport god of all time any sport includued. If you understand basketball, u would have seen that teams were literrally at the mercy of Jordan both physically yet more importantly mentally.  Let think if Jordan had not left for that year and half  and if he would have played until it was time for Shaq's era of dominance?? Gotta be like 10 rings easy!!!  Maybe you are alil younger than the 90's era but Jordan is the best athlete I have ever seen in any sport as of yet. This is not to say there will never be someone much better than the immortal MJ but never to encompass and mean so much to a game that would never have reached this pinnacle... Jordan say it best in his commercial.."Dont Blame me for Making it Look so Easy."     Who knows though its all opinions my man.Always with respect and the respect of others opinions

who knows what the future holds?  players are becoming bigger, stronger, faster, and more athletic seemingly every year.

it will be ahrd to match MJ's resume but if you're talking about pure skill and athletic prowess i believe players will be far better in the future.

just look at how far sports have come in the last 25 years.

Statistically Kobe is better than Jordan. Kobe would smash Jordan one-on-one. Kobe is more gifted and the better athlete. However, does that really make him better? No. If you take in Jordan's clutch and leadership I would have to give him an edge although Kobe Game 1 sure narrowed the gap. Jordan also was much better on D.
 
Jordan changed basketball, Kobe didn't. There would be no Kobe if there wasn't an MJ first. So does that make Michael better? No. Michael had more of an impact on basketball history, but Kobe is far and away more talented. MJ was and always will be the most important basketball player in history. I really don't know why people debate this because it depends our your definition of "better."

as i've said earlier generation is weaker, let's just say MJ's just one of the first in the new generation that's why he's superior to his (old) generation.

Kobe can get 81 pts, that's how good the player is.

Kobe getting 81 points shows how much weaker the league is now, malone would destroy garnett, robinson,ewing,hakeem would destroy Dirk, only players in this era now that would might play at the same level in jordans era is maybe james bryant and duncan and cp3, but jordan would still have been ahead of them,
