In LeBron's 5th year his team went to the Finals.

Durant completed his 3rd year as the 8th seed. Has 2 years to match LeBron in that regard.

Great skills. Great guy. Just not in LeBron's class.

Durant is passive like Durant when it comes down to being a leader. Doesn't have that fire and never will. Just not his style.

When Coach Brooks put Durant on Kobe earlier in the series he locked him down. With the game on the line and the ball in Kobe's hands with 10 secs left Durant was guarding someone in the opposite corner. Great no timeout call by Phil Jackson to allow Brooks to put Durant on Kobe.

But in that situation Durant has to take charge and make that switch himself. He has to say I want him and will shut him down. Of course Kobe didn't make it but his relatively comfortable shot resulted in an easy tip in. And Durant was useless in the corner for the final possession.

Just not the fire some superstars and team leaders have. Lacks that natural killer instinct to make the plays that aren't reported on tv.

This team is like Tampa Bay on MLB...has a tremendous future. KD is an extremilly intellegent man just 21 years old.
