If that's true what you're saying about your lady, you gotta do whatever it takes for however long it takes to get your relationship running again. If you're serious about her and you don't want to lose her, you've gotta make her your number 1, 2 & 3 priority. It sounds to me like she's been pretty patient to hang in there with you for six years.

But the first step is getting yourself running properly again and getting yourself happy. You're no good to anybody else until YOU are good to yourself.

I only say all this because I know how devastated I'd be if I lost my special one for any reason, let alone something like what you're going through

Jive everything i say is true mate, i have no reason to make anything up...

She's been more then patient and in a way i feel i should just let her go cause what i have done over the last 6 years is not fair on anyone... tickets booked for APRIL 19 - its definately happening and up to me to prove her wrong over the next 4 or so months before she considers coming back..

Its going to take a long time to feel good about myself - i think i'll worry about keeping other people happy for the mean time cause there is nothing proud about me at the moment...

to sum up: Aussie, stop gambling. You cant imagine how life can be better without it. Maybe it will be hard early, like all addictions ofc, but show some character and just say you dont bet ever again and try not to brake your word.

Aussie, how are you getting into so much trouble? Are you betting credit or just depositing too much money? Just put in $50 or $100 somewhere and start small and work your way into a bankroll.

I wouldn't bother with GA thing or trying to quit. This shit is too fun to quit. Just start small and work your way up. Put in $100 and make bets of $20 to win $18.18. Don't think of it as winning $18.18. It's not that. It's a stepping stone to the big cash and then when you hit the big money you will have earned your way there. It's kind of like a weight loss plan. You can't lose 50 pounds in a day but just drop one pound at a time. You could put in $100 get it to $200 in 3 or 4 days. Then in another 3 or 4 days maybe hit $300 and eventually start thinking about bumping your units up. Move from $20 to $25 and I would keep everything 1 unit. If you bet huge on one game it can cause chasing and if you chase you will eventually get busted and blow everything so you must not chase. I think this is the hardest part of all. When I hit a big losing streak I just walk away from it all and don't even look at the rest of the games for the day. Anyways, that's my two cents on how to make a comeback.

Pretty easy for us to tell Aussie to walk away and spend his nights and money woodworking or fishing when none of us are living it and losing or chasing.  Horrible spot Aussie, you want to put your fist thru the computer.  You go thru 10 years and 200K betting, it is your lifeht and you have to find a way to enjoy it again.  I gave up weed as an example after YEARS of smoking it like cigarettes, and now I smoke once a year when someone offers and I love my life more than ever.  I closed Credit Cards that funded sports betting and paid them off.  After all that suffering I simply take 50.00 visa gift card and often actually turn that into 500, a great feeling.  This stuff is in our blood, and to quit cold after 10 years is not reality, and you are not going to GA.  Just play small, and sure as hell stay away from Nets and Knicks games, my god.  The NBA is a game you can win, just bet it as though it was rigged, and you would of hit the Nets +7, no one cares this time of year in the NBA.

Got to be persistant this time...

Even if i go 1000/1 in my next 1001 bets i'll still be behind so why bother right ??

2.try to get some space-then come back,this time PLAY SMART.

you shouldnt count the money you lost in the past. if you do that then youll never get out of the hole..

its already money lost, if you want to gamble again, think as if youre starting anew again. with no debts since you have paid them already...

i got a solution to this problem..... SLAP YOUrself 3 times while looking at your self in the mirror.. Really hard like you really mean it.. and say to yourself... "WHAT THE FUCK IM I DOING!!"... this should help you stay away... sincerely feel bad as ive been there and done this to eleviate the problem

i had a parlay of cha/tor over and nyk/utah over for 200 turn off the game to go to sleep thinkin i won  when score is 89 89 at end of 3rd  to wake up to a 4th qtr shit show unreal
