Learn the value of money. It doesn't matter how much of it you make. Look at how people are struggling out there. Is it good to throw away that much money? Some people make 2600 bucks in three months of hard work. You burned it in one night. Don't do this to yourself. Be free. Life is too short and too beautiful to not enjoy. You will die from this. I only bet a set amount a game if any. I would recommend quitting all of it.

I think it's a travesty to bet more than a couple hundred bucks a game. It's not worth it. If I win, which I do most of the time, I pull the money buy myself something, pay bills and move on. If I lose, I stay disciplined and take a break. But if they asked me "what would you rather have, gambling and winning all the time, or not starting gambling at all? I would say not gambling at all....Money is made by hard work, not chance.

As much as i want to continue i already know its destroyed me so far.. I cant continue..
I need persistance at GA and need to get some serious time off, pay off debt and focus more on my business during the tought times... My priorities are all wrong at the moment.
I need to show my partner of 6 years that i can get my shit together as she is back off to england for good (as it stands). She wont come back unless she see's some form of rehab..
Its fair to say Im currently fucked up at the moment, i'm down to the bottom but im not totally out.. I can get my shit together just need some serious discipline.
I'm never going to get the money back, just create a bigger hole..
I really do appreciate the thoughtful comments guys.. its not like you can talk around the dinner table about this shit cause it's so foreign to anyone who doesnt understand the addition of gambling...

I totally agree - some people have discipline, some don't - I dont and need to accept that I can't play this game anymore..
When you gamble almost everything you have and even money you don't then you really do lose the value of money.. i would very rarely spend $100 on myself yet quite happily lose $400 on a game of NBA / NFL / CRICKET / RUGBY LEAGUE / RUGBY UNION / SOCCER / CASINO / ON LINE POKER - there are no limits.. its a disgrace and I can admit it which is a small start..

Here in Nevada, I see guys at sportsbooks laying 5500 on a game sometimes 10 grand. None of these guys have shoes, shirts, or even a descent jacket for the winter time. They look run down. They are willing to put 5k on a game, but can't buy a shirt, or shoes for themselves. Wanna know the definition of a degenerate gambler? It's one who neglects himself or others around him for gambling.

i've been losing alot the past 2 years, i just realize i havn't brought new clothes in a long time. before betting, i used to go shopping and enjoy spending my money. we all been there, if you chose to continue betting, go small. i know u make alot of money but its not worth paying someone else rent. i lost about 16k in 2 years. it hurts. hope you make the best decision for yourself. like noparlay said, enjoy life, its very short.

it was stupid and i could have found 5 better chances the next day to recover... simple case of me steaming and trying to get my cash back in a hurry.. completely stupid...
I just cant believe how incredibly lucky the books can get on me.. its amazing...
There must be someone out there with all my luck, someone must be very very lucky, Im cursed..
Oh well... Need to find a new interest thats for sure..

In January, during the NFL playoffs, I had back-to-back Saturdays where I lost $60,000. That's 60K each Saturday. Peyton Manning and his ridiculously accurate arm had a lot to do with it.

That should be the biggest slap in the face you've copped in this saga of yours. And it should be your biggest reason for getting straightened out and getting a balance back in your life. In your case, you've got give this game away or you will lose everything, and not just your money.
You mustn't gamble on the people who really care about you.
