Im past devasted - I RETIRE AGAIN - Lost $$$ 2600 today

Im so numb with this whole situation.

Called my book and cancelled my online account... LOST 26 units / $2600 bucks today and im totally done...

Today i bet:

LAL - 3 first half = 3 units

SA - 3.5 Second half = 3 units

SA/NJ over 92 second half = 3 units

UTAH - 5.5 (bought half a point) = 4 Units

UTAH / NYK over 108 Second half = 11 Units

Youv'e gotta be tough to hang around in this game and its finally gottten to me....

to go 0-6 for the day breaks me.. and to run it all in the UTAH / NYK game goes for 27 points in the 4th.. WTF

 

GL ALL - If i ever return it will not be under this user name as it is a curse... Hence why i call myself the cooler...

IM OFF TO FIND MY NEAREST GA MEETING TONIGHT.. i have to stop this shit or i'll be on the streets shortly....

I know the feeling bro, I had a horrible march last year. take some time off, regroup, play some of the free games on covers when you're ready. it's less profitable but sometimes playing streak survivor or playing in some of the league contests can still bring some competitive juices, and you never know maybe you can get on a serious streak. the nba is a fucked up game, last year it was profitable for myself but this year it was horrible. good luck

Why did you bet such large amounts if your bankroll isn't big enough to support it?

If you had $2600 in your account you should be betting $25-50 per game not $1100.

Hate to say it but thats just stupid.  Betting half your account on a second half play?

hey dude im sorry to here that and i think you should take some time off as well and make some money with an actual job (not to be funny) and regroup like someone said and come back using smaller units at first. youll get hot again.  It could be worse man think about it like this its only money.  although it can hurt pretty badly there are worse things that can happen. You have two choices;

 

You can gamble and lose another 200K.

You can stop and maybe save your life.

Gambling addiction has the highest suicide rate of all habits. 

That money is gone, never coming back.  Remember that.

If i earn 80+ a year and have been gambling for 10 years now and would say that i easily lose 20K a year then its not hard to equate to $200 K..

20 K is only $384 per week... Very possible.. if i caclulated it would be more then 200K when you include racing / Online poker etc etc..its horrible and a total abstinence is required.

Its very depressing man, i should have a good house and be debt free but no I have an addiction that gets the better of me !

I dont think i can do small units, it has to be nothing...

I think you are down more than 450 thousand, this doesn't include your humanity.  The time that is worn off your age and experiences.  Go enjoy life.  Take that money and travel.  If I made that much a year, I would never gamble.  Don't let gambling take your life.  You will be suicidal and not even be aware of it. 

the point of small units is you get to have the fun/thrill of gambling and being in the action yet you can still win some extra money.

if you're betting half your paycheck every week and thats the only way you can have fun with sports betting than you actually have a gambling addiction/problem and you need help.

AUSSIE COOLER, I looked at your six plays and with the exception of the last one you posted, those were all terrible bets (sucker bets is what we call them here).  You're making a good decision by walking away.  Don't forget the pain and ridiculousness of this night.  Let it be a reminder to you that this will happen all over again should you choose to bet NBA games again in the future. 

A lot of unsuccessful gamblers sometimes talk about quitting, but few of them really mean it.  Here's hoping you mean it.
