By the way BB, we will have to wait a year but just like your previous year's thread about making a  profit in the following year due to what transpired at season's end/playoffs, the Raps will be out for blood against the Wiz in the first game they meet up in.

Let's hope it's in Washington so we get points and if it's in Toronto, the line will be nowhere near the ridiculous +11/12 we had to deal with with the first Nets Raps revenge game this year in Toronto (which I believe still covered anyway)and the crowd will be absolutely bonkers (as Pierce/Wall even went as far as slighting the 'we are north'  rallying cry).

The Wiz rubbed that sweep in the Raps faces by not only beating them, but then trolled the players, city and fans (and even Drake lol) on social media post-sweep.

I think it will be the first game the Raps circle on their calendar. The best part? Both teams will be largely entact to a) ensure the right raps remember the debacle and trolling and b) so that the revenge can be exacted appropriately on the very players who embarrassed the team and city. Wiz are also famous for taking it easy during the regular season at times (the Raps swept them this year in the reg. season only to get swept out of the playoffs), while the Raps will need to get out of the gate quick at the beginning of the year to prove their worth (particularly Lowery and Casey who will be on the hot seat but is returning).

I'm excited to bet Raps already! But in the words of Guns and Roses, all we need is just a little patience.

I've thought about it but I've done nothing yet. It's not a bad teaser imo and astute teasers as BB has shown, can pay great dividends.

Two 'games of his life' in a row...against the Spurs??? No. Someone else will need to compensate for a Clips win (Crawford Reddick).

This series has "game 7" written all over it. Or atleast the NBA wants it to go 7. I'm on the fence.

Of course I respect your handicapping record and confidence but if you account for playoff mental toughness, experience, game planning including adjustments pregame and ingame I could not back the LAC in this spot. They have a poor home court edge, they are bullies in the sense that they beat up inferior teams and more times than not wilt vs elite squads. The Spurs need to dictate tempo and rebound, I trust the better balanced , experienced, deeper team to prevail, just don't think the energy the Clippers need for 48 minutes( Blake griffin soaring and dunking, Cp3 hitting high % of shots) will happen 2 games in a row vs a Nba champion team.

Your points are all valid, Skullf, but this Clippers team is better than the Mavs last year and SA is not as good. SA, despite being a great team through the years, also has a history of early exits. Pop can outsmart himself and Manu can become a liability in big games (I've seen it many times, as I've been watching basketball for a long time).

Adding Hawks ML + Grizz ML in a parlay. 5 units pays out 4. Will probably have a writeup on the Grizz game.

Great observations! Especially on the hack-a-Jordan take helping Clippers (giving starters a break and psychological impact on Spurs players).

Unlike the Rockets-Mavs game 3, I don't have much to play devil's advocate with. IMO, Rivers unexpected contribution will have a positive impact to the rest of the bench players.

I'm with you on this BB.

I also teased Rockets and Bulls.

You were right about the Mavs (in so far as the Rockets went for the kill), but the coaching in that game was awful, and partly responsible for giving the Rockets hope and momentum. Raymond Felton, anyone?

My bad for referencing the mavs game (not intended to rub it in)...it wasn't much of being right, as it was intended to be a suggestion to look at a game in a different angle.  With that said, I completely agree with you about the coaching, and not to mention the refs haha

Scott Foster and Bill Kennedy working this one -- there is sure to be an agenda - bobmalooga

I read this but, what are YOU getting at? I feel this game will be won or lost because of some of the calls, so I'm interested in hearing where these assignments tonite take the game. I'm wondering where the league wants this game to go....What direction are you learning in who wins? Thanks bob

I found this line very interesting on 5Dimes props section

Spurs Clips series Over 6 games -110
Spurs Clips series goes 6 games -110

Couldn't believe that baby was even money!!! If the clips win tonight as you have it capped, could they possibly close it out in San antonio???? Jeez. That is the tallest of tall orders...

Scott Foster favors the Clippers (imo) but Kennedy and Rivers have a long history, and it is not good for Clipper fans. I already posted something on that in this thread.

If Spurs win, this series ends in 6, Scal.

Well, let's see who takes it tonight first.

But your point about Manu is relevant. He can throw away any game At this stage in his career. He was a big reason they lost to the heat 2 years ago. And parker can go down at any moment. Just sayin' this if san an happens to go home with a lead.

I would say Spurs tonite, but i wont take sides. This game has written under all over it.
Spurs defensive effort was quite poor in the last game, the agressiveness of CP also surprised SA, i doubt they wont be prepared for this tonight, also taking better care of Rivers (as Duncan mentioned). If they want to win, they have to try limit the Clips offense, as well CP.
Also, the series trend goes quite zigzag with the final scores.

I can see that.    I think both teams will give a good effort on D.

Also the lines give a hint that the game will be lower scoring.    Game 1 in LA was 207', Game 2 was 206', and now it's 203'

I love both games tomorrow. Grizz and ATL.... think they actually both cover as well.

I'm actually partial to the Spurs here tonight. The Clippers played about as well as you can play..... actually they played even better than that because they got a contribution from Austin Rivers....
    CP3 - 34 points  38minutes ****
    Reddick - 17 points 37 minutes***
    Deandre 6 points 14 rebounds  32minutes****
Blake - 20 points 19 REBOUNDS (he never gets this many boards) 43minutes ***
    J Crawford - 15 points 29 minutes
    Austin Rivers - 16 points

CP3s minutes stayed under 40 because Rivers played out of his mind. There is a solid chance Rivers has the opposite performance tonight. Youth and inexperience plus game plan preparation from the Spurs. These guys logged in big minutes and were mentally locked in. I'll give the Clipps credit, i didn't think they could do that. This game has a solid zig zag let down spot written all over it for them.

Conversely the Spurs from last game
    Duncan - 22points 14 rebounds 38minutes ****
    Leonard - 26 points 7 rebounds 40 minutes ****
    Parker - 18 points 29 minutes
    D Green - 0 points 28 minutes
    Splitter - 0 points 18 minutes
    B Diaw -  10 points
    P Mills - 14 points
    Ginobili - 10 points
    Bellinelli - 6 points 3 minutes

The tricky part is knowing who the hell is gonna go off for the Spurs..... someone or maybe a few guys might go off today that were absolutely useless last game. Pop knows who's going off for the Clippers. The Clipps know this themselves, which adds to the pressure and mental fatigue coming over from the previous game.
