Covid-19...the reality is

Well, Trump derangement syndrome is real. Trump just came out for 10 minutes to give corona updates and answer questions. He pretty much just said the latest news, answered simple questions, nothing to big or special today. Yet online, including the news and twitter, Liberals are calling his 10 minute press conference absurd and disgusting and he is the reason for this virus. Something else that is funny. 2 months ago Trump blocked all travel to and from China. Liberals screamed, "he is doing this because he is racist and hates immagrants". Today, they are screaming at him wondering why he did not do enough to prevent this. Hilarious. 

And this is where I get to a question I want our Democrat friends on here to answer. 

Trump and his administration has done a lot and truly did help prevention by closing down everything early and blocking off travel real early. The bill is now thru and the team still is working daily for the past month to help America solves its problem. So the question is, 

WHAT ELSE DO YOU WANT TRUMP TO DO???

You want him to pull a vaccine out of his ass? You want him to cancel everything and give each family 100k for the next year? Seriously what do you guys expect from him and his team? 

I do not understand the amount of hate he is getting over this virus. What can he honestly do better. Dems are saying he is doing a horrible job but I want to hear why and how he can improve this current situation, I dont see a way. 

If the last Ebola crisis crossed continents, based on history, Obama would have called Ebola a "Junior Varsity" virus and pretend it didnt even exist, let alone call it by its real name, a river in Africa where it originates from because that would be racist

Age group 80+ will SURVIVE 85% of the time. Sound bad but that is typical of age and disease.The seasonal flu(non-COVID19) virus in Italy in 2017 had a kill rate of something like 99.7% of those of 65+

Then the survival rate in US goes up as age goes down, approaching 100%

Age groups 10-39 have a 99.8% chance of SURVIVAL. That is 2 out of ____1000___ will die. It happens...

Ok those number above were taking into account if 100% infection rate which an epidemiologist  even on a powerful hallucinogen would never say.

He can start getting supplies like masks and ventilators to hospitals. He is a fantastic business man right? 

He could also start by telling the truth to the American public regarding numbers and cases. 

Here are a list of lies about the situation to the press and public less than a month ago. 

On Feb. 26, he said: “We’re going down, not up. We’re going very substantially down, not up.” On Feb. 27, he predicted: “It’s going to disappear. One day — it’s like a miracle — it will disappear.” On Feb. 29, he said a vaccine would be available “very quickly” and “very rapidly” and praised his administration’s actions as “the most aggressive taken by any country.”

None of these claims are or were true. 

So priority #1 maybe start telling the truth. 

So let me get this straight, he said "its going to disappear". How is that a lie? One day it will indeed disappear. U slow? 

Also he did say a vaccine is moving rapidly, which is true. Testing for the vaccine has already begun in some countries like America and Germany and that was pretty quick movement. 

And the other one, that you say happened on Feb 26, there were 51 cases on that day and no one could have seen this coming. Blaming Trump for the virus will not make it go away.

Your thread, your rules is fair enough. This virus is leaving plenty of room to pass blame so I agree that the world should focus less on "blame" and more on solutions. The first solution would be to shut down all of the wet markets in ALL OF ASIA. Aside from China, the wet markets are conducting business as usual. They all need to be shut down or this will happen again.

Saying virus cases were going down, not up is a lie. Are you this dumb?

At no point were cases going down in the U.S. when it first arrived in this country. I am not blaming Trump for the virus, but he deserves blame for not having the country prepared. We did not even have testing kits in the U.S. when the first case arrived, despite numerous warnings from his own administration. You think this is proper preparation? 

The virus is not going to disappear by a miracle. It will be treated through scientific research, testing, and medicine. Implying the disease is going to disappear via miracle, implies a short term solution. You defending this idiotic statement is even worse than the actual implication. 

As for saying a vaccine will be available quickly is also a lie. We aren't even anywhere close to a vaccine being developed and approved, let alone available to the general public. Do you understand how long this process takes? Do your research bro and stop being a sheep. A vaccine is not going to be available very "quickly" or "rapidly." Stop defending lies. 

How on Earth do we know it will it disappear? and when will that be? 12 months, 48 months, 60 months from now? Stop defending idiotic statements and poor leadership, which is why we are where we are today with no one working and no sports.

I do not understand what you are trying to get at. Does it make you happy that Trump was wrong? Because guess what? If Trump is wrong then your life is in danger. And that is not Trumps fault. The other day the guy says at a presser he knew and said that this virus was a pandemic long before experts did This never happened. He has been downplaying the virus for a month until last week, even integrating into his common hoax bit at his rallies in February. This is an example of lying, not being wrong.

How about at the same presser when he said he never said these corona virus tests were not perfect, yet he is on camera saying the tests were perfect 2 weeks ago. These are simply lies, not a matter of being wrong. Whatever makes you comfortable. 

I happen to think the media and world is blowing this virus out of proportion in terms of fatality, but it is something we need to be aware of for sure in being safe. 

Trump was not only wrong, he consistently lies about his position on the virus, which is documented. What exactly has he been right about it in this? Calling it a Chinese virus?  Please enlighten me. 

Correction: He never said the corona tests were perfect, when he did 2 weeks ago.

How does the President lying to the country regarding the threat and steps being taken help the current situation? How does it ease fears? How will it contribute the economy opening back up? Why does Dr. Fauci have to consistently counter Trump's untruthful claims with actual facts and data about potential drug treatments and the rate of spread and expectations for the public nationwide? How does being dishonest and unclear in messaging help generate solutions? Just curious.
