packersbacker I used to come here b/c it was an NBA thread on the virus and at 1st was a source of info and you were informative and nice, now all you do is bash people and call them snowflakes and "treasonous" if they don't get in line behind Trump...you claim you have a business, god I'd hate to be one of your employees with your righteous attitude

True. However, Trump's lie rate is beyond that of any previous administration. It's actually shocking when he speaks the truth about anything. 
He has a job to do and keep the public calm, so I get a little exaggerating. However, his fairy tales go well beyond the scope of simply lying.

Anyways...we now know that 90% of those who have died have been over 60+ years of age. That is ___not_ to say by any means it is a guaranteed death rate for them either. While the 90% is high, we must remember that just the seasonal flu of 2017-2018 in Italy had a kill rate of 99.7% in the 60+ age group!!!!!!!!

I kind of mentally blended in my memory 2 statistics. The accurate stat is 96.1%.
With the present study we show a remarkable excess death attributable to influenza in Italy during the winter seasons 2014/15 and 2016/17, which was independent from mean weekly extreme temperature variations. Our results show that during these two seasons, in Italy, a high proportion of deaths was observed among the elderly (96.1% and 77.7%, respectively). However, high rates were also observed in children 0–4 years old (1.05 and 1.54/100,000, respectively).
