7. Moneyline Parlay 11/1/10
Sacramento -200
San Antonio -335
$20 to win $18.96
YTD 4-2 +$11.37
Statements I have read about betting the NBA that stand out in my mind right now:
1. NBA is the most difficult to handicap (point spread/-110).
2. When you're paid big money contracts it doesn't matter if you lose a few games as long as you make the playoffs. Very different attitude than college basketball.
3. As much as I hate to believe this one, the refs can control the game however they like with foul calls. There are a number of questionable games so far this season (most that I did not bet on) that have lit up the forum with ANGRY people. They may be right.
I believe in risk for return. I also believe in effort for return. To handicap the NBA for an entire season, either betting -110 or ML, to break even at best is a complete waste of time. 1000+ manhours of research through a season and no profit is as I said a waste of time. A plug and play system would be great and I believe everyone wishes they had one. This moneyline parlay test trends out to be at best a wash.
Thank you for your time.
