i think there are 3 games like that being played today. i would think that the pitcher would have the advantage.

Pitcher has the advantage, BUT the pitcher also has to be good. A lot of times, the hitters catch on by the 2nd/3rd time through the lineup and rake. Leaving the coach to leave newbie in a little longer than normal to see how he holds up under pressure/runner’s on. It’s not uncommon to see a debut pitcher give up a crooked number inning before being pulled
