St. Louis Cardinals -110

Cards caught a break with the weather yesterday.  They were in the middle of a 17 games in 17 days stretch, so the day off should be more than welcomed.  Pallante has been great as of late, and everyone is in the line up for the Birds.  The Crew got Chourio back, and that dude is a stud, but I don't think he's enough to make this offense feared just yet.  He's going to need a Robin to his Batman, and until they find one, their offense will likely suffer. 

Tampa Bay Rays -138

I've gotten bit by the RL twice now in three days with the Rays, so I'll stay away from that for now.  But their staff is still as good as anyone in the game, and their "ace" is going today.  Corbin has been lightyears better than I ever could have imagined him being, but the Rays hit lefties well, and I'm still waiting for that other shoe to fall for Corbin.  He can't be as bad as he was in Washington, and then just come to Toronto and figure it out.  It isn't that easy.

Atlanta Braves +116

Martin Perez has been surprisingly great to start this campaign, and the Ms are struggling to hit lefties.  I haven't seen a line up yet, but I'd imagine Olson doesn't get the day off with him being red hot, and Michael Harris should be back in the line up too.  Maybe Riley gets a day off.  Woo has been very good for the Ms outside of his start in STL where the Cards teed off on him, but in what should be another low scoring game, I'll back the dog with the better line up. 

Woo  has been terrible in his last 2 starts.....

Guessing he will figure it out soon ...

Red Sox/Tigers Over 8.5 -108

Total fade of the starting pitchers in this one.  Flaherty has been awful.  In his last three outtings, he hasn't recorded more than 11 outs.  He's walked 25 batters this year.  He's only pitched in 29 innings.  That's like, option him to AAA kinda shit.  Gray is coming off the IL so who knows what he will be able to provide.  Sox offense has scored 15 runs already in this series, and they should get ample opportunity for more tonight. 

Athletics/Phillies Under 8.5 -118

Wheeler came back off the IR, and did not miss a beat.  11 IP, 3 ER on 6 hits, with 14Ks and 5 BBs.  Langaliers is still out with the new baby, and we saw yesterday, what an ace type pitcher can do to this offense.  The game last night was 1-0 going into the bottom of the 7th, and then the Phillies bats came alive.  But they don't hit lefties well, and they are getting a good one tonight.  Springs doesn't walk many, and doesn't get hit hard.  The wind is blowing out, so kinda nervous about that, but Wheeler has yet to give up a HR.  Springs has given up 6, but 4 were in one game, and as I mentioned, the Phils don't hit lefties. 

Kansas City Royals -1.5 +158

Cole Ragans might have the wildest Home/Away spits so far this year.  At home he's thrown 12 innings, and given up 1 ER.  On the road he's pitched 20.1 innings and given up 18 ERs, on 9 HR and 20 BBs.  Nuts.  The Royals bats have come alive as they have now won 8 of 10, and look to sweep the division rival.  Cantillo has been very serviceable, and Jose Ramirez is always a problem, and looks like DeLauter is looking to stay a while, but after those guys, the line up really lacks any bite.

Mets/Rockies Under 9.5 -110

Kinda surprised they are playing one.  Denver got like 9" of snow yesterday, and the temp isn't out of the 30s.  The snow melts really fast up there, but it's still gonna be colder than shit.  You have both teams "aces" going, and the Mets are struggling to find offense.  No one wants to hit a baseball when it's that frickin cold.  Everyone knows the unwritten rule of getting this game over as quickly as possible. 

Gl . I enjoy your write ups. I like the reasoning behind your NYM/COL play and will be joining you. I looked up the starting temperature for all games that started at 42 degrees or less since there weren't that many in the 30s and most are gauge 30s. Looks like this angle has worked well this season. 6-1 to the under. The Mets and Rockies are capable of showing little interest on any given night so let's hope the cold reinforces that.

Fuck me. Ragans leaves after 3 to injury. McNeil error leads to big Philly 8th inning. Everything that can go wrong, is going wrong. I’ll be taking tomorrow off at minimum.
