It's been really ugly for the Angels as of late. They've lost 9 of 10, just got swept by the Royals and now on the brink of being swept by the White Sox. I can't imagine a road trip going worse. Kikuchi has been terrible, aside from his 4/18 start vs the Padres. But he's faced some of the better offense in the league as well, so while the numbers aren't good, the Cubs, Braves and Yankees are hitting everyone. He has 6 pitches in his arsenal, and I think he can keep these young Sox hitters off balance. Fedde isn't as good as his numbers indicate either. He throws 90 mph, and nothing with crazy break. He's going to get hammered soon, and I'm not gonna miss it.
Boston Red Sox +110
I think the pitching match up is a wash, both are bad. I'd play the over, but it being a getaway day for both squads, I can't be sure there is enough "want to" in each line up to get there. Bostons pen is vastly better than Torontos, and with all the injuries the Jays have right now, their offense is weak. Wilson Contreras and Trevor Story both have very good track records vs Lauer with plenty of sample size. I'll take the better offense and bullpen as a small dog in a rubber match.
Los Angeles Dodgers -235
You'll next to never, catch me playing a favorite this big. It's baseball, anything can happen. But a few reasons as to why I think this is a sure thing. A. The Dodgers lost last night, and they've only lost back to back games twice this year. B. The Dodgers line up owns Alcantara. Freeman, Muncy, Hernandez and Smith all have 10+ ABs vs him, and all are .300 or better, and Ohtani has 2 HR in 7 ABs. I'm hoping we get the full line up, as its travel day to STL next, but I think we should given their success. C. Glasnow has been great, and Miami has the LA to MIA flight to look forward to, they may not have any interest at all today.
Cubs/Padres Over 9 +100
Waldren has been real bad since coming up, and Taillon hasn't been all that great himself, but I'm relying on an empty Cubs bullpen to contribute to the over today. They are just running out of arms out there. The Padres bats are starting to heat up, especially Machado, and if they can get to Taillon early, or even just make him work a bit and get rid of him before the 6th, the Cubs pen will do their thing for us. Beautiful day to hit a baseball in San Diego.

1-5 in the last 6 with two still pending. Just like the game of baseball, betting it has its ups and downs.
St. Louis Cardinals +112
The Cards bounced back nicely from being swept by Seattle, with two wins to start this series. I think they win the series tonight, and then everyone gets the day off tomorrow vs Skenes. Chandler hasn't been any good. He's got big time control issues. The Pirates offense has certainly cooled off too, after their hot start to the year. Cards have full use of their bullpen, which is a big deal for them.
Colorado Rockies +130
Sugano has been the more reliable of the two starters, even though he got roughed up by the Dodgers two starts ago. Williamsons GB:FB is not what you want it to be in this ballpark, especially with the wind blowing out like it is tonight. The Rockies line up is fully capable.
Nationals/Mets Over 7.5 +102
This feels trappy as hell, being so low with the Nats involved, but the Mets are throwing Peterson who has given up at least 4 ER in 4 of his last 5 starts. The Nats bats got shutout last night, so hoping they can bounce back vs the soft throwing lefty. They are currently 7th in all of baseball in OPS vs lefties. We know about their pitching woes, but Cavalli has been good. It's their bullpen that we need to get into the game as quickly as possible.
Atlanta Braves +120
Getting this offense at this price should be illegal. I don't care who is throwing. Skubal has been very good, but not his unhittable self that we got used to the last couple years. And this offense is banging lefties. Ritchie only has one start under his belt, but he shut down a good Nats offense, to the tune of 2 ER in 7 IP with 7 Ks. That line up is better than the one he will see tonight.
Kansas City Royals +102
Wacha had been great until his last start, and Severino had been terrible until his last start. Something has to give, and I'll bet Wacha bounces back before Severino puts two good starts back to back. The Royals are starting to hit a little bit, and this stadium will help the cause. Wacha has the great sinker to keep balls in the yard, and Sevy can't throw strikes.

It was the Dodgers who had no interest in any of these games vs. the boring (to them) Marlins until it got to their last at-at-bat. That worked on Monday, but only on Monday.
