Sprout is another bullpen guy made starter. It'll be his 4th straight start today. Not much to be desired about him.
Pallante is not the best guy in the world to back(just like Leahy yesterday), but we're facing a Brewers team in a bit of a hitting slump. They got a couple guys back trying to shake off the rust. And they don't like ground ballers which Pallante is, and he does not get hit hard in general.
The Cardinals are 7-1 in their last 8, and against good competition. The NL Central is a gnarly division, kudos to the redbirds for keeping lock step.
Think I have a one or 2 more, possibly.

We can't pick games based on the likelihood of rain. I considered that in going F5, maybe the weather holds off, but a capper still has to go with his best shot. If it gets rained out there is still a long season ahead of us. So what? No reason to go with a secondary pick just for the action, or to be sure it gets played.
BTW sac, it is Sproat, not Sprout. Sprouts is where you shop for supposedly natural foods.

Polish sausage or Italian beef, with French fries, no sprouts. I will eat Kraut though, with my dogs or patty melt. Otherwise not a fan of German food.

No problem. Just was noting that weather looks to be an issue in st louis tonight. Sac can pick whatever game he wants and doesn't have to force other picks if this game gets postponed. Personally i tend to avoid games if i see the weather could be a factor because it's hurt me more than helped me.

Not a fan of betting on games where both pitchers last outing was against the same team. But this is DeGrom, the seasoned vet. Vs a 24 year old who spun only one game in the big leagues, against the same lineup.
Don't get me wrong, this is a Yankee prospect. And the Yankees don't miss much. Elmer has been good in AAA, and was decent in the World Baseball Classic.
I'm betting on pitching with the Rangers here, including the bullpen. Hopefully they cool down the Yankee bats enough, and the Rangers square up the pup just enough.
That's all, GL.

You have no idea how close this was to my P.O.D. Agree 100% on deGrom, the seasoned vet doesn't soil his diapers in New York or against the Yankees. Seasoned vet means "Been there, done that", and he and the Rangers bullpen are at least a 50/50 chance. At bonus $ it is the only right side!

Will be on the White Sox when I see a line. I'll also be on the water tomorrow. Hopefully I don't lose fish the same way all these teams I back hit with runners on base.

A lot to like there sac, like the Rays 8-1 record vs lefty starters, But Corbin has been surprisingly good so far, and McClanahan is not yet all the way back. BOL
