Athletics +160
The Angels and Lackey are getting too much respect here. I know they're home...I know they're the better team...but Anderson is really good. He dominated the Angels in his last outing against them. The problem is...Lackey dominated the A's right back. But if there a 2 really good pitchers going against each other, why not take the one getting the huge price? This line is off by a bit if you ask me. I mean the Angels were only -111 favorites in Oakland...why such a big leap now? They know they'll get the public all over them coming off a loss regardless of the line so they're trying to squeeze every cent they can out of the Angels. I thin Anderson shuts them down here but the Angels find ways to win. We'll have to find out.
Rockies +130
Hammel is really good on the road. 3.08 ERA on the road this season compared to a 6.47 ERA at Coors. He also has a 3.64 Day ERA where his night ERA is 4.88. So he has those things going for them. The Dodgers won't get swept here. I hate using that logic but they are just too good to get swept. In 2 starts against the Giants Hammel has only given up 3 runs. Obviously Cain is a stud but the Rockies find more ways to win than the Giants(They almost pulled off the comeback last night). I think they'll pull off the win here as nice sized dogs.
