I've won 7 straight. Proceed with caution.
Astros/Red Sox Over 8.5 -120
I'm not real sure how the Astros plan on navigating the next couple of months with their pitching staff. They just have no arms left to throw. They have like 6 pitchers on the long term IL, and a few more on the 15 day. Good news for them, the offense is keeping up with the opposition, and they get Ranger Suarez today who has been pretty good, but they are the top 5 in OPS vs lefties this year. Christian Walker is in the line up and that really helps. Wind is blowing across the field towards Pesky Pole, so that also helps.
Tampa Bay Rays -1.5 +168
Kevin Cash isn't giving anyone the day off with a chance to sweep the Giants. And they got a great shot to do it cause Steven Matz is pitching very well. He got banged around by Cincy two starts ago, but other than that, he's been great. The Giants line up, as we know, is without much bite. Mahle has either been outstanding, or awful, and vs this line up, I'm gonna bet he doesn't have a great day. These hitters take great approaches at the plate, and they knocked him around last year for 4 ER in 5.1 IP.
Phillies/Marlins Over 8 -120
This number has a "too good to be true" feel to it, but I'm diving in. Luzardo had a great start his last time out, but it was against the Giants who offer no real threat. The Marlins offense has cooled, but Chris Paddack is pretty sporadic, and this Phillies offense is ready to bust out. Ever since The Don took over, the club seems to have a different feel to them. Neither pitcher should make it through 5 IP, and neither pen is great.
St. Louis Cardinals +120
Why the hell not at this point? Dodgers are struggling offensively, but nearly snuck a W out last night despite not scoring in the first 8 innings of the game. Dustin May is amped up to face his former squad, and has shown in his last 4 starts, that he can really deal. Wrobleski has been great for the Dodgers, but the Cards saw him last year, and beat him 5-0. This offense is much better than last years. At plus money, I'll take the Birds to complete the unlikely sweep, with "revenge" on the mind of May.
Diamondbacks/Cubs Over 11.5
20 mph winds out to Waveland Ave today, and these kinda days usually get out of control at Wrigley. As a Cards fan, I've watched many 12-10 type games in this stadium with this weather. Lots of fun. Bet all kinds of HR props, cause there will be atleast 4. The Snakes bang up lefties, and the Cubs will bang up on Kelly.
