Hey everyone! I appreciate some of the positive feedback in this forum! The A's lost today 11-6 today to the Rangers. Justin Duscherer our 3rd starter most likely didn't have today and the pen sucked as well! I finished a fantasy draft too and ended up with Street, Daric Barton and Cust all in reserve roles. I tried my best but blew it by not securing Blanton, Crosby or Harden!! I know the latter two are a risk but might and hopefully for us A's fans stay healthy and not on the proverbial DL train!! captaincrdit been a Cowboy fans since Captain comback's latter years in Dallas which was the year Tony D was drafted out of Pitt!

this team will never hit for a high average thats not the money ball way. but they will take a lot of pitches and draw a lot of walks. i really thought this team would be bad losing swisher and haren, but i really love mike sweeney and emil brown from the royals. and their pitching is always good no matter who they put out there. even the late cory lidle (who was a tampa bay reject) had some good seasons.
this really is a testament to billy beane who is one of the best general managers in the history of professional sports. he could have easily taken over the red sox but chose to stay in the bay area for his daughter (or some reason similar). to pull off all these cost cutting moves and keep this team competitive year after year is amazing.
i really hope that bobby crosby, eric chavez, mike sweeney, and rich harden can stay healthy. if the athletics can catch lightning in a bottle and the 4 of them can have career years who knows how far this team will go. emil brown has got some serious power as does jack cust. and if the guys in front of them are getting on base look out.
still cant understand why there is not more overwhelming support to get that new stadium. if there is any team that deserved one, it would be the athletics who continue to have winning records in spite of one of the lowest payrolls in baseball.

were not winning the series...but the A's will be alot better then most people think...our bats are kind of weak...but i think crosby, ellis, cust, and bron can hold it together...and carlos gonzalez will be up in a month and im excited about him....we will trade blanton at the deadline for 3 more stud prospects and in 2 years we will open our new stadium with some more money to compete with the big boys.....the A's are a great team to bet on this year fellas...they'll consistently be dogs at home and many a times on the road...and i think they can stay pretty close to .500....factor in betting on a consistent dog that wins half its games and theres alot of profit there....Heres to the A's tonight....

My A's are injured as usual...ie...Dush on DL and Harden missing a start..very probably future DL and the King of DL Chavy..and still don't hit in clutch but somehow manage to win games vs alleged better competition. The Green and Gold's lineup does look rag tag I must admit..guess what..we will win as a team and be in the race all year long! Who wants to jump on the Green and Gold train? Remember grab them as dogs all year long and collect!
