Dude should have laid out and ran through the wall

Clown should have ended the World Series with that play.
Instead he will go down as the main player that blew the Series
after the Rangers get pounded in game 7.
Nelson Cruz has 8 postseason HRs .. tied for the most all time
It woulda been a hard catch
get real

Huh?
They were playing no doubles defense. He was almost standing on the track before the ball was hit.

What I don't understand is "HOW" do you let a ball go over your head with a 2 run lead and men on 1st and 2nd and 2 outs with the World Series on the line????
How does a manager NOT tell these guys to keep it in front of them???
Plus the ball hit the BOTTOM of the wall...???
How do you let it get over your head in the first place???
BUT... I'm glad Cards won so nice play. Ha,ha,ha.

That ball is caught 9 out of 10 times with any random MLB outfielder.
Cruz is an average outfielder, got a reasonably good jump on the ball and didnt want any part of that wall.
I like Cruz, great hitter but he could have been a world series hero with and he pussied out.

And yet if the Rangers end up losing tonight it won’t be all those home runs and RBI he remembers.
It will be that catch he should have made that would have won his team their first WS in franchise history.

It should also be noted that the Rangers were in no doubles defense and he still couldn’t catch it.
But I guess you could say the defense worked since they didn’t hit a double.

He should be tracking the ball and it's trajectory to adjust and angle to it and catch it and he didn't need full speed to do that-it shows his glove was to the left of where it came down-he not only slugged it but he couldn't line it up-horrible play at a time when you're adrenaline has to get you there, right?
And was he the late inning defensive player? I hope so...
