Plays for Tuesday April 27th:

44)  Red Sox -112  110/98  (Tor L3)

This play is the 2nd time we have tried to get Toronto to the L4 in a row echelon.  We lost 48 the 1st time around, therefore, we need to win 98 in order to make $50 off of them.

Not a play:  White Sox (L3), Hou (W3) as we have already won w/ these plays.

I love all the time and work you've put into this and I don't care what anyone says, I think it's cool as shit.  It's just as good a way to pick winners as any other. 

That being said, I'm already on Marcum tonight.  Good luck the rest of the way, though.

Question, did you dad have any idea that this many teams would be affected by a 4-game streak this early in the season?  A couple more weeks and it looks like you'll be out of teams.

I've always wanted to do something like this -- bet all teams who have won 3 straight to continue the streak.  My theory is that a majority of teams who put 3-in-a-row together will make it 4-in-a-row.  And then keep it going for those who win 4 straight, etc. etc. until only one team is left on a winning streak of 3 or more.  Each betting "string" would end with a loser except the last one, but even so, I'm not convinced that it wouldn't work out on the plus side.  Each year there's several long winning streaks (see 2010 Padres) that I think would compensate for these streak-ending losses, but I've never had the time or energy to track it to see if it's profitable.

The Yanks are currently at L1.  You may have looked quickly and saw Toronto directly below them at L3.  I did that exact same thing earlier in the season.

Caps-  Thanks for the words of encouragement.  So far, I have been on top of things b/c there have been soooo many plays.  I never expected there to be this much action this early on.  We will certainly start to have fewer games as teams start hitting the W4/L4 levels.  I just hope I don't get lazy and miss them towards the end of the season.
