This was discussed today at Easter and I told him I would track it.
My dad used to gamble alot...you name it...Football, Horses, Cards...anything. He has turned into an observer and thinks he has come up with a 'System' that he would like me to track. I am going to do so here.
System:
He has been studying this for quite some time but has yet to put it into action...He claims that every year, every team has at least 1 4 game winning streak and 1 4 game losing streak. His goal is to wait for these situations to arise and play for a team to live up to this. His goal is to make a small win on each and every team in MLB twice per season (once for a 4gm win streak and once for a 4gm losing streak).
He keeps track of it on scratch paper in a notebook and often misses when the situations arise just by losing interest or not paying attention. His notes are never organized but they make sense to him. These are the only plays he says he would make all year. I am going to track it in this thread to see if a profit is feasible. These plays will be fake and not actually placed.
The goal (for this thread purpose) is to make $50 per team on both a 4 game win streak and a 4 game losing streak. Once both have been accomplished, that team will no longer be played on for the year. That would be a profit of $3000 for the season. This is going to take some organization on my part and there will obviously not be plays every day.
Some Rules: (I am sure there are more situations than the ones listed)
>If one team is playing another team where they have similar streaks (both teams have won 3 or both teams have lost 3 in a row), but one team has already accomplished the 4 game streak, then it is a play for the team that has not accomplished the streak to do so. >If both teams have a similar streak and neither has accomplished the streak of 4 then it is a no play. >If a team has won 3 in a row and is playing a team that has lost 3 in a row and niether team has accomplished the proper streak it is a 2x play in order to try to cash both at once but will be treated as a $50 play for one team and a $50 play against the other team.
If anyone wants to follow this thread's progression, comment, ridicule, advise, provide input, etc. I would appreciate it and will share with him.

If your Dad was such an expert, he would have been winning all along. Vegas loves betting systems, pays their electric bills & bonuses.
No shit teams win 4 in a row or lose 4 in a row in a 162-game season.
Do NFL teams win 2 in a row also?
Never said he was an expert...Quite the contrary...Just a former losing gambler who got out of the game and thinks he may have found something worth tracking...I did ask for ridicule as well so I appreciate the input.

Ok...looks like we are going to have action already. Didn't exactly expect it in the 4th game of the year but here it is. Thanks to a sweep in the Houston/S Fran series we will have 2 game to play on Friday.
1) Play on San Fran v. Atl to win 50 2) Play against Houston v. Phi to win 50

Damn...I am just as unorganized as my Dad I guess. There was one play earlier that I missed....Probably b/c the plays are fake. But, earlier was Toronto +122.
41/50 Winner
More plays to follow.

result: a win $50 then you stop, a loss and then you play Tor the next time they win 3 in a row at $100 to make 50(+/- juice lost) otherwise you will never make your $50 back if they don't win the 1st time.

Can I assume that this is a chase system?
Ex tomorrow you play Tor to win

Yes. If any of the above lose, the next time the same situation occurs, we will be playing to win 50 above our losses. Still working out the kinks which, honestly, may never get fully worked out.
Unfortunately, I have never really paid attention to the system and how it would fair. I am doing this b/c he swears he thinks it would work. I have just never tracked it before. This thread seems to be the best way I can think of to do so.

Thanks. If anybody comes in here to hate on a "FAKE SYSTEM" then they better go get a life. I am not here to prove anything, at all. Just trying to see if I can actually track this thing and tell Pops what's up. I think it would be great if he was actually on to something....probably not. I think he has come up with about 17 Craps systems during my life that never seem to pan out so the chances of this being a winner are slim to none.
